I found it fascinating in the FBI press conference (overnight) that Special Agent Ford was asked how the girls looked, and he said they looked like they had been in the woods for "3 days." It made me pause as I was expecting him to say "2 weeks." Big difference. So, it's not surprising...

When you are in the middle of a family like that and that is all you see/live on a daily basis, you don't think like you do when you are on the "outside" again. I imagine the break from him (while he was in jail) made the situation clearer to her. ETA: At least in my experience...

I bet it is only a matter of minutes before all of them (in both families and even the ones inside the jail) know what went down in the courtroom... Oh to be a fly on the wall.

She pled no contest. No jury, no trial. Judge sentenced her.
