Well, it was Minnesota in spring. Not sure what predator could take down a young adult male and leave no trace. Even wolves (and I don't know if they are even in that area) would leave a trace.
The 'oh ****' in that podcast or whatever it was has to be a re-enactment, not a real recording. It isn't very cool of them to fail to make that distinction.
I truly doubt the parents recorded the call. They had no idea at the time that he was about to disappear forever. They thought it was a...

So sorry I haven't answered this sooner, tarabull; many preoccupations, and attention placed elsewhere than WS for a good while now.
No, not bitter, lol. (Don't know why I would be 'bitter' at all, at least by my understanding of the word.) A touch irritable, sure, but no more than that...
It's a common occurrence in Appalachian culture altogether.
I know a lot of this stuff probably sounds bizarre to folks not familiar with the region, but nothing I've heard so far about this family -- pot-growing, arrest records, jobs, homes, hobbies, cars, dogs, hats -- makes them in any way...
I keep seeing the Dogwood Festival mentioned, but no mention of a possibly much more significant festival: 4/20.
April 20 is THE pot holiday. These folks were killed the night of April 21/22.
I live in southern Ohio and 4/20 is celebrated here, especially in rural areas, with cookouts...
I don't know. What does it say to you...? Rewards rarely work anyway. What is your point? What exactly are you getting at, tarabull?
Do you mind spelling it out plainly? In fact, why would you not initially do that in the first place? Gameplaying? This is not the time or place for games. Just...
Her case should never have been moved to any 'cold cases' section. Wtf? Are we certain this happened...? Link?
Her remains were only found 3 years ago. Two agencies are working the case, plus two PIs, and (by her dad's recent request) the Butler County Sheriff's Office too. It is very much an...
Three years ago, not two.
Maybe it's a formatting glitch, due to changes (I can't call them 'improvements') to this site, long after the fact... because I distinctly recall coming here within days of the ID of her remains, and it DID say 'found deceased.'
I remember crying yet again upon...
That's actually the scenario I find likeliest.
That said, I think the 'foul play' possibility is dismissed a little too easily and often here, for reasons I regard as faulty.
I think if she was abducted, it probably still had to do with her own actions and decisions. (Which is not the same...
But that's just it. We already know that Maura DID evidently leave the scene without anyone seeing her do so. No one was watching constantly, otherwise her actions would be known.
No one saw her leave on foot. No one saw her leave in a vehicle. No one saw her leave at all -- so no one knows...
I believe this too. My point is, they may be wrong, and they may still be found out, and I don't think it's going to go well for them. I just kinda doubt they are quite the criminal geniuses they think they are.
You didn't 'strike a nerve.' Why would you have? I was just reiterating the...
The 'no body, no crime' notion has been abolished in both the UK and the US since the mid 20th century. Obviously it's more difficult, but a homicide case can indeed be prosecuted successfully without a body. It's been done hundreds of times.

Hahhah, yeah, that crick is lingering for me too, along with a sardonic scowl that's starting to feel permanent. I wonder if, when this goes to trial, we'll see spectral evidence being admitted. As Rev. Hale warned, "We cannot look to superstition in this. The Devil is precise."
Yes! Just like the case of Brandon Swanson in Minnesota. His car broke down, and unfortunately he was disoriented (he saw some lights he thought belonged to a restaurant he knew, and told his parents to meet him there, but in reality he was miles away from where he thought he was). He left the...
