A trainwreck with designer clothes and hair extensions is still a trainwreck.

Wow. Quite the debutante from the "millionaire" family.

A San Francisco judge has granted a request from the defense team of Nima Momeni, the man accused of killing Cash App founder Bob Lee, to access seven year’s worth of Lee’s phone records.

The San Francisco district attorney and court officials will review the phone data and determine what is relevant to the case, the court ruled. Lee and Momeni’s attorneys also will be able to look at the records. The DA’s office and law enforcement will extract the data by sending the phone to a lab, but it could take months, Judge Eric Fleming said. It’s not clear, though, how they will determine what data is relevant to the case and what would be kept private.

Momeni’s attorneys argue it will be difficult for the DA’s office to make those decisions because the defense team has yet to make its argument public.

Glad to see that the D.A.'s office will review the phone data to determine what is relevant and keep the rest private. Seven years of phone data seems excessive to me. Is the defense just fishing, or do they have a time/date in mind when Bob Lee and Momeni's sister became acquainted? And shouldn't they be more specific in what they are looking for? Is it valid to ask for 7 years of cell phone data without some specificity in terms of what they are looking for?

Also, court hearing on change of venue will be held next week on March 15th (the Ides of March).

I think it’s super excessive too. He is the victim…

Judge denies Nima Momeni defense motion to relocate Bob Lee murder trial.

According to this article, the judge set a status hearing for April 3, 2024, with the trial beginning on May 20, 2024.

I wonder if they were in court today for the status hearing. I just checked the case calendar and Momeni was scheduled to appear in court today at 9 a.m. Hopefully there is something in the media later today or tomorrow.

Momeni's attorney's are also still trying to get access to Lee's cell phone records for the seven years leading up to his death. On Friday, there was no updated timeline of when those phone records will be turned over.

The judge set a status hearing for April 3rd to get an update on how long it will take forensics lab to download the phone records.

The trial is currently set to begin on May 20th.

Status update in Bob Lee murder case continued to May. We were expecting an update today on how long it will take to retrieve data from Lee’s phones. Nima Momeni’s defense attorneys have asked for 7 years of data, wanting to see the relationship if any Lee had with Nima’s sister

Is there a court hearing date in May (this month)? At one point the trial was supposed to start on May 20th, but I think they are still waiting for evidence? Is there a status hearing scheduled for May 20th, I wonder?

It's been crickets for the month of May, thus far. The trial has been moved to the summer, but no date was mentioned, yet. Hardly anyone is reporting any updates, at least nothing that I could find. moo :)
