I'm not sure if anyone ever answered your question, but I did look around on Google Earth around her address and disappearance date and came up empty. I'm guessing several people on web sleuths did the same ages ago, but when I read your comment I went ahead and gave it a shot myself.

Someone may have already postulated this and I'm not sure if it is consistent with the actual size of the pillar - but directly to the left of the pillar the thing that appears shiny as if being hit by some sunlight looks like a crow bar sticking out of the ground or the space between the tracks...
