A lot of people saw her on the trail ascending but no one saw her on the trail descending. That indicates to me she fell and is in a ravine, cravasse or underbrush or that she was hit by a rock slide. That happened to an acquaintance of mine on the John Muir trail who was an expert hiker. Still...
