I am assuming that Renner has facts to back up his statements since he is an investigative journalist. I do not expect him to share his findings/facts online. One of my goals for 2013 is to stop wasting so much time. Reading this board is a time suck. Nobody here knows what happened. I am...

NC - MacDonald family murders at Fort Bragg, 1970 - Jeffrey MacDonald innocent?

I will no longer presume that he is guilty based on Joe McGinniss' book Fatal Vision.

    Maybe he is innocent? http://www.salon.com/2012/11/30/maybe_jeffrey_macdonald_was_innocent_after_all/

I tried to comment on James Renner's latest post: "Alden Olson=Beagle=Creep" and he didn't publish it. The gist of what I wrote was that I was more interested in why HE crossed out abduction and wrote disappearance.

I am not totally convinced that Maura had an alcohol problem. Why do you think that? Because she went to a party the prior weekend? Because she went to a bar and a party? Lots of college kids do that. When my husband and I were young and invincible and heading on a camping trip or weekend...

I sure wish you could share more info about his "other suspected crimes". Are you thinking a serial killer? I have always wondered if this case is related to the disappearance of Regina Renee Cox and other missing dark haired young girls in the Northern KY, Southern OH area.

I can't decide if I think that James Renner is so busy with new leads that he doesn't have time to post, or he has no new info, thus nothing new to say.

Since Maura was a nursing student, I'm sure she knew about the danger of Tylenol and alcohol and the liver. I do not buy that she was planning a suicide with just booze. It's too iffy. Most people would puke and/or pass out before they could consume a deadly amount. IMO, if she committed...

To those who believe Maura was contemplating suicide, how do you think she was going to do it? Tylenol PM and booze? Can a person really OD on Tylenol PM?

I don't think Maura is alive. I have been trying to understand her actions. I don't believe she would have made that trip (in her lousy car) without a strong incentive. Getting away by herself doesn't seem like a good fit scenario.

In the past, I think the incoming call was dismissed as her calling her voice mail and wasn't adequately investigated. I have thought back to myself at Maura's age, trying to understand her motives/actions. I had a secret love, and because of that I did things that would have seemed strange...

YooHoo! James Renner, why no new posts?

I think you should email Renner and suggest he makes attempts to see the ATM picture to see if her hair is down. Maybe he can actually do it?

Do we have any mechanics out there? How far could a person drive with a rag stuffed in a tailpipe? Is it possible to stuff one in that will stay in for miles? How big was this rag? Maybe if my dad yelled at me for not flagging a wrecked car just days before, I might try to flag a crappy...

I really really really find it hard to believe that Maura put the rag in the tailpipe. Whether or not someone saw her crappy, wrecked car doesn't seem like something she would worry about at that time (while running away, drinking?, shaken up from wreck, upset, etc.)

Goofy me. For some reason I got it in my head Scoops = James. Scoops, are you doing a book too (or maybe just one in your head)?

So what if the guy eventually makes a buck off a book. If he is able to find out what really happened, it will be so worth it.

Person doing a backbend or hanging upside down in dense foliage

Someone COULD settle this once and for all by writing Alcala and asking him. I don't want to do it, and I'm not going to do it, but I really bet he might answer. I think he loves attention.
