But even if the perp(s) targeted the girls somehow - it still doesn't make much sense. He knows, through SM or however, they're going to be on a pretty well-traveled public trail in broad daylight, near a residential area and he picks that particular time/place to go after them? However you...

This is an excellent post. Very well thought out and level-headed. I agree with everything you've said

Thanks for posting. I've somehow missed this in the past threads. For a cop of 30 years to say that, I believe that "twist" is not just the cell phone video. I won't speculate what it is - because it's impossible to do so, based on the information we've been given.

I hadn't thought about a scenario where they might be taking a video to share on snapchat later. Good thinking. In this day where young people share everything and anything, that makes sense. To clarify though, there's no doubt in my mind that BG is our perp. I think he deliberately went onto...

Respectfully, I can't imagine why anyone would take a photo/video of someone coming toward them if they didn't feel threatened.

These have been my questions since day one as well. It is very atypical behaviour and doesn't at all fit into the profile of child killers. I've been racking my brain about it. I feel that the perp was impulsive, reckless. Was it just a "perfect storm" of events that allowed for the perp to do...

Hi folks. Just logged on for the day (home sick today) and was disappointed to see no new information in the media. LE seem to be frustrated with the amount of misinformation out there - so it would be nice if they'd give the public something else. Why have they not released the cause of death...

I agree with this. No way he could've fired off two shots in broad daylight around there without anyone hearing.

Hi all. Still catching up, so apologies if we're past the whole geocaching thing now. Just wanted to share some thoughts - almost every case I've followed on here that took place in a rural area, someone inevitably brings up geocaching. The reality is, not one of these cases (of those that were...

Going to take a break for a bit and clean my house...hopefully it will clear all this clutter from my brain too. I want to get inside the perp's head. Why am I choosing a public trail in broad daylight to abduct two girls? Where do I take them from there if I don't want to be caught? Why do I...

Good for you for calling it in and being persistent. Even the smallest detail could break this case. I see you're in Iowa - do you have connections to Indiana?

Just want to say - if the bodies of two young girls were found on my property and the killer hadn't been caught, that would be enough for ME to have a few drinks. Not saying that's what happened...just saying.

I like this theory. Good thinking, GGE! I was trying to figure out what, if anything, would give them the idea that something is still out there. I wonder if her phone is still pinging off a tower in the area???

That's interesting. I wonder why after all this time they would continue to search? Surely any remaining evidence would have been compromised by the elements. Perhaps they are looking for something specific that they know is out there, somewhere?

I too believe he has something in the jacket, likely the right pocket. It might be a gun, but if so, I don't believe he actually used it for anything other than intimidation. Someone would've heard a gunshot in that area at that time of day. And on that thought - I believe the murders were...

My brain won't let me give up on this. Liberty was brave enough to take that video in the hopes the perp(s) would be caught. She will be the prosecutor, not the victim. I want to make sure of it.

This property owner - was he the one who described the scene as being pristine?

I'm going off of the number of videos/photos available online from hikers. There's no shortage. The locals seem somewhat familiar with the trail. There were people who have come forward as being on the trail the same day the girls disappeared. It's also close to the road. And the bodies were...

Thanks, FromGermany! I think about Audrey often and I wish more people would take up her cause. She deserves justice.
