Here's an article naming him, with photos, family, and community involvement etc.

Even close families can have a volatile dynamic, sometimes more so. It sounds like the brother decided to split from his family before the sisters. But considering they didn't have phones, it would have been hard to find each other once they were separated. The mother and sisters might have...
I'm probably way off, but I'm reminded of this psychiatric condition, folie a deux, basically a shared psychosis.

People shouldn't judge individual officers based on the actions of others. But there does seem to be something systemic about police shootings in the US that reflects poorly on the entire LE institution. Yes, of course they do A LOT of good work too. But the similarities in so many of these...
It really annoys me when adults project their own love of guns onto their little children. No doubt there are child soldiers/terrorists who are "jacked up" to shoot things if that's what the adults are rewarding them for. How thick can you be?
This has had a lot of media in Australia in the last week. They were going to meet at public places with some stupid line like "where is the pet shop". Either this rooshv guy or a spokesperson was trying to get a visa, but it looked very unlikely because of promotion of violence against women...
Absolutely. The stupid is so strong I've gotten bored of it (might also be my love life's picked up and I can't concentrate, haha). But yeah, I follow some Australian 'patriot' groups and it's just a constant facepalm.
If nothing else, I learnt from this thread that "Love it or leave it"...
Was that the one where Santilli accused the guy of being a spy for the Feds? Then proceeded to bring up photos on a laptop to 'prove' it? They were anti-militia protesters. That was bizarre. Like a time traveller from the Middle Ages who discovered how to use a MacBook.
I feel for the law...
For myself personally, it's important to think critically and not side with anyone. I don't think it's possible to tell from that video whether it was a justified shooting. I suppose there was the likelihood that he was armed and willing to fight. But hey, a lot of people are armed in America...
Well, what a sad thing watching a dead man in the snow like that. I'm not convinced either way. How could I be? There's no way to tell what was happening from the perspective of the officers on the ground. I think it's stupid to release video like that. It can be twisted many ways.
But if...
Somewhat O/T but I thought this was an interesting article.
Major conspiracy theories such as a faked moon landing cannot be true or they would have been exposed within a few years, a scientist has concluded. Dr David Grimes, an Oxford University physicist, worked out a mathematical formula...
Who knows, maybe in a thousand years the story will have been reinvented so many times, his hero status firmly mythologised, and buildings erected for worshipping him. His followers might be called LaVoyists.
Also, having the delusional conviction that you're acting in the interests of your country, then becoming a laughing stock, not sure how you come back from that either. It's a sad place to be.
