Twenty-seven Bill Cosby accusers come together for on-air interview
October 6, 2015

NBC News National Correspondent Kate Snow will conduct the hour-long interview as nearly half of the comedian's accusers will talk about their recollections of the alleged assaults.

Model sues Bill Cosby over alleged sex assault at Playboy Mansion in 2008
October 6 2015

Bill Cosby's troubles got worse Tuesday when a woman sued him in a Los Angeles federal court, alleging the legendary comedian sexually assaulted her at the Playboy Mansion in 2008.

The civil suit by Chloe Goins comes as L.A. County prosecutors are already reviewing a criminal investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department into the 25-year-old model's allegations.

Chloe Goins sues Bill Cosby, claims he drugged and sexually assaulted her; 27 other accusers set to share sex abuse stories in NBC special: 'It's cathartic to be able to talk to each other'
Tuesday, October 6 2015

A model who filed a police report in January claiming she was drugged and sexually assaulted by Bill Cosby at the Playboy mansion in 2008 filed a civil lawsuit Tuesday against the fallen comic.

Chloe Goins, 24, claims in the lawsuit that Cosby spiked her drink and she “blacked out” during a party at the famed den of debauchery when she was only a teen. She "immediately began feeling sick to her stomach and dizzy" after drinking a beverage that Cosby handed to her, according to the suit.

I am curious to how he was hauling unconscious women from social gatherings to private quarters. Were they always alone with him or were witnesses around and watching them become unconscious in no time. How are they ending up in the sack with him not being spotted by others.

Has anyone stated that they was willing to have consenting sex with him but never got the chance due to him slipping them drugs. Or are they saying that after a drink at the bar they woke up naked in a bed with him. Or what. Are there any witnesses for some of these encounters? Idk. I may believe some but not all until I hear from neutral witnesses that can vouch for certain things.

I appreciate your scepticism but it seems like it's perhaps partly based on baseless assumptions and not reading the actual stories that the accusers have told. JMOO. We don't know that he gave everybody something that made them immediately unconscious and unable to walk. Some said they were sober when he assaulted them. Some drugs might take a while to kick in and you'd be able to walk normally before falling unconscious. We don't know that no one ever saw these women go into a room with Cosby. On the contrary, there have been several people who stated that in general lots of women were seen going into rooms with Cosby, and he had henchmen who were used to cover some of his dealings with ladies up. Many of the potential witnesses have probably been paid off or have died by now.

The circumstances of each woman are slightly different but it doesn't seem like his preferred modus operandi ever was to slip drugs into glasses in large parties and public bars and then drag unconscious women into his quarters unseen by anyone.

Some women said he cornered her in a party but didn't actually drag them anywhere. Many of the women walked into private space with him on their own two feet to be mentored or to talk about a part in one of his shows, or to continue the party, or something. Some said he walked into her private space, such as her dressing room. Some ladies say they were assaulted in the Playboy mansion and pardon me but that seems like a place where intoxicated women being gently escorted into private spaces with Hugh Hefner's buddies might not be anything out of the ordinary at all.

It may be some were thinking or hoping or apprehensive or feeling sure that sex with Bill Cosby might be expected to happen, and maybe some thought that mentoring was an euphemism for an affair, or thought it might be the usual casting room couch romp to further their acting career, but that's not really relevant I think. You don't have to be a sworn lifelong virgin in order to be sexually assaulted.

Donjeta. Thanks for the summary. I assumed he pulled the same thing in the same way everytime. I didn't know that some were supposedly sober and forcefully raped.

Nfl star Darren Sharpner was just sentenced to 12 years for the same thing. He would bring them to the hotel. Spike the drink. And have his way. Thanks

I encourage you to read up- these women are showing a lot of courage and are quite credible.

Goins' lawsuit does not specify a date when the incident occurred, but it states it is being filed under a provision that allows victims of underage sexual abuse to sue for several years after they turn 18. Goins turned 18 in May 2008, which would place the incident several months before her attorney, Spencer Kuvin, initially said the incident occurred.

I am not a lawyer nor do I play one on TV but if there's a discrepancy in the dates it may not be good for Ms Goins' credibility. Cosby's team will know how to use it.

If it really happened when she was under 18, Hefner will be busy covering things up I imagine.

Frankly, I've had my doubts about Chloe Goins from the start. Just hope her case doesn't end up actually helping Bill Cosby! His PR team is looking for just one BS'er in the bunch to taint all the others. And you know smooth talking Monique Pressley will run with it. Arrggg.

With all that's happening, I'm a bit tired of "Stand By Your Man." Enough said.

You know, Cosby's wife just plain gives me the creeps with her plastered on grin, and her sweet "it was all consensual" quote.

Even his TV wife, Phylicia Rashad, is creepy IMO. She was quoted as saying, "Forget these women, what you're seeing is the destruction of [Bill Cosby's] legacy." But then Phylicia claimed she was misquoted, and what she really said was, "This is not about the women... this is about the obliteration of [Bill Cosby's] legacy." Well, that sounds pretty much like "forget these women" to me, Phylicia! To her, it's all about the great Cosby and his sacred legacy. The accusers are mere nobodies. It doesn't matter what happened to them.

Friday. A Dateline exclusive.

For the first time, 27 of Bill Cosby's accusers joined together in the same room for an exclusive group interview to share their harrowing - and many strikingly similar - stories. "The Cosby Accusers Speak" Airs on NBC's Dateline Friday October 9th at 9/8c.

And.... IIRC...,Cosby groomed some of the parents...

And led them to believe the daughter would be mentored...

so they unknowingly handed the daughter over...

JMO...

Oh you read my mind, Mister Happy! That is exactly the way I see these two women! I can't get that image out of my head of CC in that video....it was totally weird and yes, 100 percent creepy. And then to read that she was burning thru cash so the accusers would have less to sue for? She makes me absolutely nauseous and see how she & BC were a perfect match. I wonder if it was all worth it to her now that they are losing so very, very much and undergoing such public scrutiny.

Karma karma karma

Just catching up and reading the thread backwards again.

I hadn't really given too much thought to how important CG's case is. Dang, I hope she's a solid witness as there is a LOT riding on her case. i would not want to be in her shoes. Wow, thanks for all the updates and insight.....always fascinating reading.

Can u imagine the guilt a parent would feel under these circumstances? I would never forgive myself. And I know I would have bought everything BC was selling at the time, too. Because how could you not trust america's dad?

This perv had it made for so long.

In a hearing Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, judge Craig D. Karlan approved an order to seal the deposition for 60 days. "It seems to me, to be the most reasonable way to approach this because I have no what’s going to happen at this deposition," said Karlan.

The parties will argue the scope of the protective order (which covers Cosby's deposition and Huth's, scheduled for Oct. 15) in a hearing Dec. 22. In the interim, if either side wants to file motions to compel further answers from Cosby or Huth, the motions cannot excerpt the testimony, only refer to it.

I think Phylicia's comments are probably a lot more about the royalties than anything else. Her finances, and those of others involved in that TV series, took a major hit when the reruns were taken off the airwaves.

I don't know how solid she can be if her dates have changed. I hope she has some solid witnesses or security cam footage, or something other than her word that puts her and Cosby there at the same time.

Oh, do you mean that infamous AP interview where Cosby bullies the young "cub" reporter? Below is the Inside Edition segment on that interview. Starting at 0:47, a body language expert analyzes Bill and Camille. She points out Camille's "tight" smile.

Yes. Maybe she should have said (in her uppity voice): Forget about all of this and give me my residuals sucka!

Well but she would hardly smile in a genuine happy way in that situation regardless, even if she didn't know what Bill was up to.

But I think her smile is the result of having had a lot of practice pretending.
