Of course she wasn't. She increased The View's ratings by 17%. In today's television, that's huge. Now she may have asked more than they were willing to give her for next season, but that's hardly the same as being fired.

I didn't mean that "not fired" wording as something I was in particular saying. that was just the title of the video clip that I pasted.

I never thought Rosie was fired. It seemed pretty apparent to me she quit.

Ahhhhhh--Its so peaceful and pleasant watching the VIEW now,with the lunatic gone--The show is back to its original premise of interesting current events and self-help stuff, and none of that political crap--Suze Orman's on today

Yes, it's all back to nice, fluffy, women topics. And boring now, imo.

I hope Rosie does get another talk-show and I'll be willing to bet that it won't be anything like her old talk show from a few years ago. I don't agree with everything she says, and I don't think she expects or wants everyone to. But she wants people to THINK and discuss things like politics and the war, autism, depression and she accomplishes that with me.

I agree, Shopper. I don't always agree with Rosie's 'opinions,' but I respect the heck out of her willingness to put herself out there and say what she thinks. Wish more people had the courage to do that. She makes people angry sometimes

, but that's okay.

I'll miss her. She really spiced things up on that show. I've watched bits and pieces of the View since her departure, and I was bored silly.

I'm sure she will find her way to some other type show eventually, her OWN show. She's had plenty of offers...can't wait to see what she ends up doing.

And just for the record - I totally respect Elizabeth for at least trying to make up with Rosie. Rosie acknowledged on her video blog that EH called her home and spoke with Kelli for a long time. Rosie didn't speak with EH, but stated that she and EH traded emails back and forth and that was that. Personally, I think Rosie could have spoken with Elizabeth...you know, acted like an adult and let bygones be bygones...no grudges. Maybe she will in the future. Rosie wears her emotions on her sleeve and needs to learn that not everyone thinks like she does...

But what can I say...I still like her, and I will miss her...

Yes, isn't it wonderful...........
All the banter with the audience ( it was shown on one of the channels last night) about how we bombed our own World Trade. How our government put bombs on those floors..........NUTS! ( as the WW11 General would say)
We live in this country, and whether we like the President or don't .......I think one should support the country they abide in.
Be United, Be patriotic, Be proud...........Love this country.
I could not listen to her "French" like retort one more day.
Please bring us a refreshing, kind, happy person.........who will not think of their opinion as the only one...........Now who will it be

You have just told us everyone who lives in this country must "be united" behind a President. Apparently, we are to pretend Mr. Bush's opinion is "the only one," no matter how dishonest and incompetent he proves to be.

I too find it extremely unlikely that the Bush Administration arranged the bombings on 9/11, but there are many who agree with O'Donnell. Perhaps more discussion will dissuade them; I don't see how stifling discussion can do so.

We need a good strong well spoken faith based woman up in the chair discussing real issues which would be helpful to society. A person that knows how to build up, not tear down. Our land is sick from all this verbal destruction towards one another, causing far more damage than most realize.

Donald also needs to stop with the insulting remarks. He's called Rosie a loser to the point of scarring her, he needs to be quiet and leave her alone.

Also, Elisabeth, she's by far more intelligent than he's giving her credit for. I just haven't figured out the slant concerning her and his motivation in attacking her intelligence. Seems he's trying to get a rise out of Elisabeth due to his own.

Actually I think he has EH pegged right on. It's been in the media since the blowup that Lizzie is the only person on the panel that has people to "brief" her before she goes on air. Guess she's not smart enough to "get it" and form an opinion herself.
