I have strep throat so reading is all I can do today. :(

Swallowing what I read from the A fam is always kinda difficult tho. LOL

Yes, I agree that 400 pages we have already seen. Still...that leaves an additional 200 we have not!

This is discovery that was released to her lawyer. I sure don't remember any interviews with her family in the 400 pages. At least I don't remember that right now. My cat died.

If they are released as part of discovery... I am betting it's discovery for the child neglect case. I doubt we are getting any forensics. Just some additional interviews.

OT: (((Strach))) Sorry. :( Maybe being here will help keep your mind busy. Bless your heart.

just a question,.. it is kind o/t but it is about the evidence.
How much time (before a trial) does the prosecution have to give the defense their discovery? I hope that sounds right,.. I am exhausted and my mind isn't working well today.

You're probably right since there have been no formal charges of murder, I don't think LE is required to release "discovery" or any notes related to Caylee's death.

You are in my thoughts strach. I am so sorry for your loss...:blowkiss:

I think the word discovery is being used improperly.
The Sentinel article it states this was released due to a Freedom of Information request they had made. Discovery goes to the defense, not the press. IMO....

Wow! I am so ready for this! I am really hoping for someone to sniff out a smoking gun, (definitely a mixed metaphor, I know,) this forum has done such a good job so far of trying to make sense of all this. I wonder if LE pays attention to the analyses WS members have come up with? (OT so sorry Strach about your cat.)

I'm thinking that maybe OS is including the documents released prior to the 400 page documents (interviews, search warrant etc.), of which are included in the 400 page documents and may add up to close to 600.

If there is more over and above the original 400 pages, I am reading to read them too! :)

So very sorry.

LE isn't required to release discovery materials in a case where no charges have been filed, but they often do. Remember, a lot of this is like poker. Some materials may be so damning that the defense will start talking about a plea ahead of time and be broken by the time the charges are filed. A lot goes on outside of the courtroom.

I hereby nominate you to seperate the 200 new pages from the 400 previous pages and make them into a nice neat stack for us to read. :)

The article says the State Attorney's Office released these "new" documents. IIRC the original 400 pgs were released by the OCSO.

Where is the poster that was commenting on "the flurry of copying" made by the OCSO - oh wait, if the SA released them - then theywould have done the copying.

Patty, I kinda agree with you about what was already released. However, the article does state that these docs contain interviews with family members and those were NOT in the original docs.

Since 8/22/08 it doesn't appear any further receipts for disclosure have been filed by the state. Perhaps they simply haven't filed with the court yet or the docket needs to be updated. In any event, if there is to be another "document dump" it would be be recorded as such.

Did MOUSER pass? I'm really sorry to hear that your cat died. I'm such a pet-person that I really do feel your pain. I hope you're OK.
