The man suspected of kidnapping and assaulting a 10-year-old Northridge girl has been apprehended in Mexico, law enforcement sources told The Times.

There were no immediate details about the capture of Tobias Dustin Summers, 32. The Federal Bureau of Investigation and Los Angeles police have been concentrating their search efforts south of the border for several weeks.

Summers was charged in his absence this month with 36 counts of sexual assault, as well as kidnapping and first-degree burglary, the Los Angeles County district attorney's office said. If convicted, he faces multiple life terms in prison.

Serial killer Hilton gets life in Pisgah slayings

ASHEVILLE-NC — Holly Bryant would have preferred a death sentence for the serial killer who took the lives of her parents, but she takes solace in knowing he won’t kill again.

Gary Michael Hilton, who faces the death penalty in Florida, was sentenced Thursday to life in prison without parole for kidnapping, robbing and murdering John and Irene Bryant while they were out for a hike in Pisgah National Forest in 2007.

“He will spend the rest of his life and die in a cage or at the hands of a Florida executioner,” Holly Bryant said after the hearing in U.S. District Court in Asheville. “But the main thing is he will never get out to harm anyone again.”

Police believe Jessica Heeringa, was abducted towards the end of her shift at the Exxon station located at 1196 E. Sternberg Road in Norton Shores, MI. Authorities are now looking for a silver minivan, possibly a Chrysler Town & Country, that could be involved.

Police are also looking for a white male between 30 and 40 years old – medium to heavy build with broad shoulders and light brown or sandy blonde hair.

As everyone knows the case is pretty much full of action now.... The story has now been picked up by the AP, and is on so many websites and I cant wait for it to hit CNN.... anyway, I see that pretty much everyone knows about the arrest of grover...I am so excited about so much going on in the investigation! I cannot wait for Beverly, Chad and Debbie to all get the same jewelry that grover got! I have gotten some pretty nasty fb messages from some of the family, namely grovers daughter and his son. I cannot imagine that a family is standing behind grover and still saying publicly that they are innocent. I have on my fb wall a link to the arrest affidavit itself and it shows how guilty grover is, and actually tried twice to impede the ongoing undercover conversations he was having with the guilty parties!!!! Anyway, my family and I are really struggling with that crime scene photo that was released to the public. It kills me every time I look at it. My mother has been quite heavily medicated for the last few days and I see no end to that any time soon. When they all three went missing, in 26 days it will be exactly 21 years ago, May 29th, 1992, it almost killed her, and she had a nervous breakdown and had to be hospitalized for over 6 months, and it came down to shock treatments... Heavily medicated even then, it still took so much effort for her to pull out of the depression. Now that the photo was shown we are trying to be proactive with her to ensure that she stays stable emotionally. This forum and personal messages have been so great and she sees the support she is receiving from total strangers who are there to hold us up and honor our family members who were brutally attacked and killed, then thrown to the ground 8 feet down, and who knows if the bullets even killed them or if they were left to suffer until they bled to death!?!?! This is what we are struggling with and believe me, I am not even able to sleep with these thoughts in my head! I wanted to just say thanks and yes, everyone keep up the posts and thanks again for the prayers, kind words of support and encouragement, and yes, also for the out crys of outrage and anger, because to know that there are so many on your side who feel the way you do is strangely empowering, and we feel vindicated! I will update as soon as I am able to and keep us in your thoughts! Aisha Hashmi

Bomb Tweet After verdict yesterday. 1 Arrested

Maricopa County sheriff's deputies detained a man and woman in their 20s about 10:30 a.m. at the Value Place Motel, 1360 N. 43rd Ave., just north of Interstate 10.

A sheriff's spokesman confirmed the man was arrested. He is identified as 18-year-old Laquint Cherry.

A bomb squad found ammunition in their room, but no bomb making materials.

One day after authorities released photos of a man purportedly culled from sexually explicit videos, a suspect is under arrest and his alleged child victim has been identified and taken to safety, officials tell CNN.

Interesting because 1) The use of the pretzel bag to identify it as a US location and 2) the picture went viral today and they arrested the based on a phoned in tip. Thank goodness the little girl has been rescued.
