Vigils held for Shaniya

A candlelight vigil was held Monday night on Murchison Road in Fayetteville for Shaniya. Among nearly 500 people in attendance was her father.

"Lord, I come to you with open arms and it is hard. It is hard," Lockhart told the crowd

The above link has one of the searchers speaking on camera who found Shaniya and he stated that she only had a sleep shirt on. I wonder if that means she didn't have any panties on? It made me think that she had on that same shirt as seen in the elevator video of MAM holding her. I wonder if she didn't have any panties on if that may be why she is holding her legs together like she is.

This case is so distressing to me. I know it is not going to make a difference now, but can someone tell me if the police were called by someone at the hotel who recognized the little girl? I wonder how much time passed between that call and the time police arrived. It just seems like she was so close to being saved.
 
My heart just breaks for her father, and for sweet little Shaniya.

He will probably never get over the guilt from sending her to her "mother". But it's not really his fault, how could he imagine what this monster (it hurts to call her a mother) would do to their baby girl?

I told my mom and dad this evening they ought to bring back the electric chair or worse for the people that do this to children. :furious::furious::furious:

At the initial press conference about MAM and the hotel sighting, the spokewoman said they'd received information "this afternoon" that led them to view the video at the hotel and determine it was Shaniya. That press conference was Thursday night, so it was apparently 2 days after MAM was there with Shaniya.

The hotel worker saw pictures of Shaniya on the news and recognized her - so no, it wasn't close. They were already long gone.
 
I want to pay my respects to this sweet little girl. I was not given the honor to meet, touch or personally know her. But over the last week I have become to feel very close to her. She has touched many hearts during her short life and will continue to do so. I have lost words, sorry.

I read opinions from "locals" regarding the area where the momster lived...they all said it is about the worst area there....a known dive of druggies and crime

the contrast between the dad's home and the trailer is stunning
you can see from her pictures and happy little face that this precious little girl was loved ....how did it all go so wrong?? How did she end up with this worthless excuse of an egg donor??

I also am curious about her dealings with the social workers....wouldn't the felon (hiv positive) Coe living there be a red flag?? Antoinette herself was not even living there legally...her sister's name was on the lease

Such horribly sad news. Been lurking for a while, catching up on "old" cases, but this one has had much of my attention. I can't even let myself imagine the things this poor sweet baby endured during her final hours. :furious:

Am I right in thinking the photos so far are of him going to the room? If only there for an hour, was she passed on to someone or did she leave with him. Can someone tell me if they have video from the hotel of MAM leaving with Shaniya and if so, where are those photos. Thank you.
 
i hope some inmates get ahold of the mother and rape her ... shove something huge like a baseball bat up her butt .. cuz im sure if that baby was raped that is what it felt like for her .. then i hope they kill her .. yeah i sound mean but im so angry right now about this .. A MOTHER is supposed to protect her baby,love her baby not THIS ... i want to have another baby with my husband and i cant because of health issues and my age .. i love my kiera and could never EVER hurt her .. i dont understand how someone who carried that child and felt her kick and gave birth to her could do this .l just dont .. im sorry if i sounded vulger but yes i wont lie i hope it is what happens to her she deserves it.. and as a mother myself i feel i have a right to judge her .

I thought I read over and over again that the police went there the morning she went missing and she was already gone. there is so much CRAP flying around that I need windshield wipers for my glasses.

just like now they have a guy on the news saying he was with the group that found the girl. When earlier I posted a link to a video where the reporter said a team of training K9s and their officers were out helping in the search and everyone else had left but they were still there and the reporter and her camera man went down there and all of a sudden they found the body. What the h3ll is the truth and what is just people talking?
