Check this out…. maybe we will get them to REALLY investigate? Maybe we are getting some traction???? See below…I have no idea what happened to Natalee Holloway for sure..but I do have some leads that the prosecutor should follow up on and I am willing to provide them….my leads can easily be verified or shown to be deadends…but so far Aruba does
not care:

Thanks for the two links, Tadpole! :)

Gosh, I would like to HOPE Aruba would FINALLY seek justice for Natalee. But, it seems as though all they care about is saving their tourist industry.

Sad, really sad.

(Hi fran ... no problemo ... I think you'll appreciate this one.....Croes is in quite the position)
Investigate Holloway claims, Aruba told

Friday 12 December 2008
Aruba’s justice minister Rudy Croes should begin an immediate investigation to determine if his claims about police interference in the investigation of the disappearance of Natalee Holloway are true, junior minister Ank Bijleveld told news agency ANP.
Bijleveld, who is in charge of the relationship with the Netherlands former colonies, said she could not force Croes to begin a probe, but said she found it odd he had only just come up with the allegations. The Netherlands was prepared to help with the investigation, Bijleveld said.
Last month Croes told ANP that Jan van der Straten, who was police commissioner on the Caribbean island when the US teenager disappeared in 2005, seriously hindered the investigation in the first few days.
Croes claimed Van der Straten was slow to take action in order to help his friend Paul van der Sloot protect his son Joran, who was suspected of being involved in the disappearance.

Aruba to probe Holloway investigation

Published: Friday 12 December 2008 16:41 UTC
Last updated: Friday 12 December 2008 16:41 UTC

Aruba's Justice Minister Rudy Croes has announced an independent probe into the early stages of the police investigation regarding the disappearance of US teenager Natalee Holloway in 2005. The Dutch minister for kingdom relations, Ank Bijleveld, had called for a probe after Mr Croes openly criticised the investigation. Aruba is part of the Netherlands.

Mr Croes last week claimed that Dutch police commissioner Jan van der Straten had seriously hindered the early stages of the investigation. The minister said the commissioner had done so in order to protect a friend of his, who is the father of the main suspect in the case, Joran van der Sloot. The latter has been arrested twice in connection with Ms Holloway's disappearance but has never been charged because of a lack of evidence.

Thank you so much Tadpole! :blowkiss:

And the critics of Greta were saying?

Wonder how Mos is doing today?

Just sayin',

What do you think about the ARUBA ANNOUNCEMENT??

by Greta Van Susteren

GREAT NEWS I THINK!!!

I don’t know about you…but I think it is VERY SIGNIFICANT that Aruban Justice Minister Rudy Croes has announced an INDEPENDANT probe into the investigation into the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. We should all applaud him — and applaud his courage to do this since there is, as you know, much resistance. Even the current prosecutor won’t do the most basic thing - look at the information we have collected.

If the Justice Minister REALLY wants to make sure that the investigation has integrity and is free from criticism, he would ORDER that the Holloway family be allowed to have their OWN INVESTIGATOR work with the Aruban investigators…not interfere with the Aruban investigation but rather work WITH THEM to avoid the criticism that the “fix was in” and that they are now covering fore each other….then, no matter what, we can all walk away from this matter saying to ourselves that we did what we could. Not all cases can be solved but they shoud have fair and complete investigations. If the Holloway assigned investigator says every thing was done that could be done, then we can accept it and move on….

…and who knows? maybe this investigation will lead to REAL answers ????

Re: Hans Mos.
ad.nl: Justiitie krigt nieuwe tip over Joran

Given new tips and information, OM Mos decides to postpone decision on status of case until Feb, 2009.

add: complete translation of ad.nl article, from Scared Monkeys forum, posted by monkey bastibro:

The Public Prosecutor (OM) on Aruba has recently received new tips about possible involvement of Joran van der Sloot in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway.

Principal Officer Hans Mos has for that reason the decision on whether Van der Sloot may or may not be prosecuted further postponed to next year. Originally wanted justice around the Christmas already taken a decision on further prosecutions in the infamous disappearance case.

,, We get a result of ever-new media attention still inside tips. To investigate, we need more time. We think in February to have enough vision to be able to take a decision on further prosecution,''explains a spokesperson of the OM.

What the nature of the tips are wants the Public Ministry in the interest of the investigation will not be lost. Recently, new evidence emerged that statements about Joran gave to the police.

The Dutch investigation has recently witnessed a new hearing. This friend of Joran van der Sloot said that he made allusions to his involvement in Natalee's disappearance.

Holloway telefilm
Meanwhile the case of the disappeared woman has aroused interest in the film industry. The Lifetime Movie Network has signed actress Tracy Pollan to play Beth Twitty, the mother of Natalee Holloway, who untiringly tries to keep the affair in the public eye.
Production of the telefilm is expected to begin in January, aiming at a premiere in April.

The Final Hours of Natalee Holloway is on E! now, for those who have not seen it.

ARUBA PROSECUTOR 5 page letter (don’t miss the part where he trashes Fox and me…never dull..)
by Greta Van Susteren
I guess we got under the skin of Aruba prosecutor Hans Moss ..

….He and his office and the police failed to solve this missing person (murder?) so here is his idea: blame everyone else!

See the Aruban prosecutor’s 5 page release below….and, by the way, we still would like to help him but he is too busy taking cover! Beth and Dave just want the answers — or even a fair and complete investigation. They don’t want any more lies to them….and perhaps Hans Moss would have been better to work on this investigation then labor over this very long release…..

TUNE IN TONIGHT at 10pm eastern for more!

Re: Decolonisation process Suspicion and irritation

Suspicion and irritation

Why all is not well in the Kingdom of the Netherlands

....'a corrupt nest of crooks" - Hero Brinkman

...Brinkman has managed to throw all these sensitive issues into a very harsh light with his over-simplistic and generalised statements about corruption, incompetent politicians and the bottomless money pit which he claims the islands have become. The fact that he has been called to account for his comments by other MPs back at the Dutch parliament in The Hague has made no impression in the islands of Aruba and the Antilles. As a member of the Dutch delegation to these talks, his colleague MPs keep backing him up, thus providing yet more reason for irritation among the Antilleans and Arubans and for them to go on mistrusting their Dutch counterparts.

High price but no results in Holloway case

Aruba's chief public prosecutor has defended the police investigation into the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. He claims it was one of the most expensive homicide investigations of all time. Meanwhile, allegations of Aruban corruption rumble on.

...[Mos}said he estimated that the investigation had cost more than 7.5 million euros.

...Mos denied the allegations of corruption and deliberate failure to follow up the relevant leads. He said he had even spent two and a half months consulting a psychic on the case, "who turned out to have dreamed everything".

Hallo...first post here....

I see no recent posts on the Natalee Holloway case...has anyone watched "The Unreveiled Time Lines"?...and there is to be a movie made about Natalee soon...it will be filmed in Africa...thought I would give a small update on things...

ETA...OOOPS....I must be reading backwards...now I see recent posts...my appologies!!... :)

Well gosh....I see this isn't my first post here either...I'm usually not so dense..(right!)....

In Joran's latest view of events told to Greta (selling NH to traffickers) he was pretty specific about when he allegedly met with the purchaser at the casino (and in one instance, even mentioned the actual table). How hard would it be for Aruba to look at footage of visitors to the casino during the time in question? Yes, the kid's a total liar (he'd be perfect for Casey Anthony) but even if the phone call with his Dad sounds bogus, he could have just given it to get folks to do what he *says* he wants them to do (investigate the trafficker).

Aruba isn't going to investigate anything concerning a crime, IMO. They don't care what crime occurs as long as they can hide it and keep their tourism alive and well. They have known from the first that Joran knew what happened to Natalee but they would rather cover up than convict, IMO.

Botched Holloway case continues to damage Aruban tourism
NASSAU, Bahamas (20 Jan 2009) -

"There appear to be few leads left to follow up in the case. Many tip-offs have proved fruitless. A fisherman claimed that on the night of the disappearance a large knife was stolen from him, and in the same month a large lobsterpot went missing. The lobsterpot turned out to be at his home all along. Fabric retrieved from the sea by the costly research vessel Persistence proved after all not to match Holloway's clothing. A recording of an incriminating telephone conversation between Joran and his father is currently being analysed for authenticity by the Dutch Forensic Institute."
