QLD Police are seeking public assistance to help locate a 50-year-old woman missing from Toowoomba since February 17. Traie Olsen was last seen in the Toowoomba CBD during the day of the 17th and has not contact family since. She is described as Caucasian, 165cm tall, slight build with black hair and brown eyes. Traie owns a silver Mazda 3 (2004) with Queensland registration 456DC8 which has not been located. Anyone who has seen her, the car, or has further information is urged to contact police.

A search is underway in the area surrounding Gittins Road, near Toowoomba, for a missing 50-year-old woman. Traie Olsen was last seen in the Toowoomba CBD during the day of Thursday, February 17 and has not been heard from since. Traie’s silver 2004 Mazda hatchback was located abandoned on Gittins Road. Traie is described as Caucasian, approximately 165cm tall with a slight build, black hair and brown eyes. Police are co-ordinating a land search in the area, involving police and SES, and appeal to anyone who may have been travelling on Gittins Road on February 17 or 18 and may have information, to contact them.

A POLICE search and rescue party returned to scrubland off Gittins Road for a second day to look for missing woman Traie Olsen. The 50-year-old Toowoomba woman was last seen on February 17 in the Toowoomba CBD. She is described as caucasian, approximately 165cm tall with a slight build, black hair and brown eyes. Her silver 2004 Mazda hatchback was located on Gittins Road at Postmans Ridge earlier this week, prompting a police search of the area.
It is comprised of uniformed officers, detectives from the Gatton Criminal Investigation Branch and State Emergency Services volunteers. District duty officer Acting Senior Sergeant Ray Van Den Bosch said police are concerned for Ms Olsen’s health because she had been missing for two weeks during a period marked by hazardous weather. “There is no reason to suggest that she has come to any harm,” he said. “It could just be a case that she has got herself lost or had a friend pick of up and has not checked in with family.” “Further ground searches are planned and the public are encourage to report any sighting to police link.” It is standard practice for detectives to assist with land searches. “The search and rescue team is response for physical location of the missing person and to help guide us the CIB has avenues of inquiry and intelligence checks to point us in the right direction,” Sgt Van Der Bosch said. Police are renewing their appeal for information as they continue searching for Traie Olsen, last seen in Toowoomba CBD on Thursday, February 7. Anyone who observed a silver Mazda 3 on Gittins Road between February 16 and 20 is asked to come forward. The car is bearing Queensland registration plates 456 BC8. Traie is described as Caucasian, approximately 165cm tall with a slight build, black hair and brown eyes. Police are continuing a land search in the area, involving resources from police and SES.
