Ruleouts:
MP7847 Fabian Del Rosario 08/28/1987 Boulder CO
MP7926 Scott Hilbert 03/13/1988 Clermont OH
MP15021 Robert Kellar 02/12/1990 Muscatine IA
MP7850 Douglas Meer 03/29/1982 Boulder CO
MP12133 Santana Ornelas 04/01/1990 Marin CA

One of the other groups mentioned the matchbook and paperwork was for Barley's Restaurant- 20th St/Camelback (I believe the address hadn't been posted here before, only the name). That's a Phoenix address, so I wonder what the "papers" were?

Also wanted to link the police bulletin here https://www.phoenix.gov/policesite/Documents/090554.pdf

Images of this John Doe's white 1988 Olympics sweatshirt were added to the NamUs page in November 2020.

The profile also states "It should be noted that this clothing was found near the body and it is uncertain whether it belonged to the decedent."

Bumping case up.

How easy would it have been for a member of the public to access this water tank?
What I wonder is, would you probably need special access and this was probably an "inside job," or is there a good possibility anyone could have accessed that tank?

Lots of like Olympic or branded clothes end up in shelters and whatnot. It doesn’t necessarily mean he has even been to Colorado. I find it interesting out of all the rule-outs none are from Arizona. Clearly he was around the area alive and well at one point hence the items in his pocket being from a local restaurant.

Without fully knowing more details, I’m surprised Allan Anthony Hoffman hasn’t been ruled out. The age range is slightly off but I am surprised it wasn’t at least ruled out just to be sure. I know it says he has blonde hair but this photo I could see it being brown.

Does anyone familiar with the area happen to know the distance between where Allan was last seen and this John Doe was found? And possible even in proximity to the restaurant these items came from?

Maybe it’s too early and I need my coffee but I feel this is something to look into and either confirm or add to the list of exclusions.

The severe decomposition might also explain why this John Doe doesn’t have a “tattoo”. The chemicals were meant to dissolve the body and hence remove a key identifying feature, the tattoo.
