Clifford Whealdon Cox
Date of birth: circa 1932
Clifford is a white male, 6 feet tall, weighing 175 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
Clifford first went missing on 20 June 1947. Then a resident of Raymond WA, he was the passenger in a Cessna 140 that disappeared while flying from Mackay ID to McCall ID. The Cessna had taken flight at about 4:30 PM in gusty and threatening weather.
Postulating that Clifford survived a crash and rescue (though direct evidence is lacking) may account for some or all of his medical history. He was noted as having suffered fractures of the skull, right forearm, left lower leg, and right tenth rib. A fracture in his right ankle had been repaired with two pins.
Clifford was living in Elk CA in Mendocino County when last seen on 21 February 1986. He was 54 years old at that time. He was driving an orange 1978 Subaru Brat with CA tags 153VIV.
