You guys are so sweet! I'm so new at this... But im loving more information getting out! I hope Erin is found soon!

Short reddish hair if I remember correctly.

Did we ever see/hear "reddish" in any interviews or articles? I thought it was interpreted that way at one point and later we figured out it was just "light" hair. I think that was when the thread was going about 3 pages per minute though so I may have missed further clarification.

I thought it said light and then reddish came into it I remember someone asking who had light reddish short hair.

I'm going to piggyback off my own post here and ask the mods if CL is sleuthable? I know probably not, but there are a few things I'd really like to dig into! Alerting my own post.
not beyond what is in the article unless he is named a suspect

Witness Says Erin Corwin Voluntarily Drove Off with Another Man Before Vanishing....

NCIS steps in ... http://www.desertsun.com/story/news...n-search-ncis-investigation-missing/12808449/

The question on my mind at this moment is did Erin mention to anyone else besides JC that she planned on going to JT and her intentions for doing so? Has anyone stepped forward and stated this was the case. OR is this strictly JC relaying what the circumstances were behind her departure from home?

I don't think JC has been discharged. Conversation shifted to CL and his discharge, as it was contemporaneous with her disappearance and he is the inhabitant of one of the apartments which was searched and probably owner of the Jeep.

Well taking into consideration the fact that they were married one would think they were already committed to starting a life together. So the next question would be in my mind is how long had they been married? OR are you referring to a third party being involved?

My husband informed me that military people know what date they are being discharged- way before the date comes. They have to make arrangements, which means they need plenty of time to prepare for life outside of the military. My BIL was in Japan for 3 years. He had his date marked down at least a year in advance. I remember because he used to do the countdown on facebook. He started shipping some of his stuff home months before he came.

Sometimes, you may do something bad (like get a DWI or another charge) and the military *may* offer you an early release. It probably depends on your previous military record and behavior.

I would say, or make a guess that the date of discharge and the date of Erin's disappearance really don't mean anything... Unless he planned to do harm and skip town, so he preplanned everything around his discharge date.

I'm really surprised he wasn't put on legal hold. But I guess since he's not a POI according to LE....

LadyLems....JC isn't being discharged. Erin's "boyfriend" CL was just discharged.

But wasn't the guy in the red car described as having short hair? Unless he got a hair cut, this guy definitely has "shaggy" hair.

All I can think is this must be a very old picture. In his pics at White Rock he doesn't have shaggy hair - and until July 7, he was a marine. My guess is this is a pic from high school.

His hair looks short in the photo on the horse (but it's under a cap). Perhaps the photo with shaggy hair was taken when he was younger (teen-aged face breakout). Don't Marines all have short hair?

I can't figure out what made LE zero in on the jeep in the search warrant. They must have had cause. In the early reports, didn't LE say one of the persons they interviewed had an inconsistent story (Not the husband, the other unnamed guy)?

ETA: He graduated from Dimond High School in Anchorage, AL, and it looks like he is wearing his school colors (gold and burgundy) in the shaggy hair photo. FB jersey, maybe?

They zeroed in on the jeep because it's Christopher Lee's vehicle, and it seemed many people knew Erin had been having an affair with him.

in the army for enlisted it is called the ets date (end time in service) and yes it is known in advance. (20 year military spouse)

it was red car not red hair (on JVM) but it got confused. Hth

This is what MB said about the guy in the car:

No he was not wearing hat. He looked like a, like, I want to say light color hair, from a far, there wasn't sun or blocking my view, I got good eyes. Like I said it wasn't very, from here to the yellow bridge over there, it wasn't very far. Uhm...again, it did look like, it looked like a short guy with sandy, with light colored hair. He wasn't a big heavy duty buff Marine that's for sure. He was a little guy, you know.

It said on the video that the Jeep's plate had been recorded on a plate reading service (winging it here) in 2013. So what has tied it to July 2014? It showed a pic of the vehicle in a parking lot, and I wonder why it was shown parked or how anybody found that it been recorded in that plate recording service. Was it just because it belonged to CL, and they had a clue about him? Not sure what the news was talking about on this.

Having 30 plus years as a military spouse your husband is correct the military member certainly knows the date of his release from active duty if it is a honorable discharge. The discharge date is planned way in advance. There are certain procedures that the military member and family as well have to go thru prior to the discharge. In my own personal opinion I agree the discharge date and disappearance do not equate to anything if anything. I am going to go full circle back to my original thought I am wondering taking into consideration the eyewitness account of her entering another vehicle (IF this is factual) and what JC relayed about her plans to visit JT and the purpose for the visit. Could she have possibly mentioned this to someone else asked for the opinion and or assistance in going to JT to pick out a camping area, taking in to consideration she was excited about seeing and sharing time with family members in the near future. BUT refrained from telling JC because it was a male whom offered to assist her with this excursion in turn they made plans to meet at a designated location and proceed to JT with in her mind as the intent to scout out a location and the other individual with the intent to do harm? Just all speculation. My thoughts behind this are she number one was young, most likely newly married, pregnant, and surely excited about seeing her family. From the background information that has been provided via news media I do not think that she had other intentions on her mind, I think that perhaps she trusted someone whom she perceived to be a helpful friend whom in turn had other intentions on their mind. (All pure speculation here).
