Janice disappeared from home. We have since discovered that she flew on a plane to LA and then took a Greyhound bus to San Francisco. She was on that bus at 2:20am EST Tuesday morning. It is possible, she met up with a man she met online.

Hair was recently cut to shoulder length and dyed blonde, but the roots are still brown with a part in the middle. This change was made right before disappearance.

Off-topic : I really hate it when HT is brought up in threads, but since the Port Wentworth PD is the reporting agency, it is interesting to note that HT as of a few months ago in that city is a real thing.

Regarding Janice - How did she get an airplane ticket and money for a bus ticket ? Were those paid for by someone she met online ? Possibly wrong, but I just don't see a 16 year old having the resources for a plane ticket from GA to CA. JMOO

I'm guessing the "man" she met online likely funded her plane ticket. Although maybe she had enough in her bank account for a one way ticket to LA. It's a popular flight and prices are lower now. The logistics of flying to LA and going on a bus to San Francisco probably were planned at least a few days in advance.

Considering that men who want a teenager to fly across the country tend to seek out girls without a strong family support system and there is a stunning lack of information about this case online, it seems likely no one in this young lady's life cares much.

Just speculating but maybe on a low-cost carrier (Spirit?), it was cheaper to fly ATL-LAX and take the bus to SFO than it was to fly ATL-SFO.
