Her grieving family is now left searching for answers. Was she with anyone in the city? Why did she go there? Why did she die?

“Jázmin Pellegrini was a beautiful loving enthusiastic 15 year old. The exact cause of her death is still unclear, along with the events leading up to it. Her family does not know who she was with, how she got there, what she was doing, nor why her body was left alone to decompose in the street. People walked past this teenage girls body and ignored it, assuming it is a passed out homeless person. One man stopped to call the paramedics, she was revived once and then returned to flatline.”

How terribly sad. My thoughts are with Jazmin’s family and loved ones.

I wonder about the Post-it note that the witness at Target mentioned. Was the note found in her possession? If so, was it in her handwriting? MOO, the way it was written sounds more like someone else giving her directions somewhere, rather than her jotting down notes for herself.

This tragedy is a good reminder to not let the “bystander effect” keep us from helping someone who could be urgently in need. I hope her family gets some answers soon.

So sad. And her pictures go from looking like a normal happy child to a very sad child. Those haunted eyes. I hope she is in peace now.
