On June 8, 1991 a man out for his early morning walk discovered the body of Lori Ann Mooney, age 29, at the North Clairemont Friendship Senior Center at 4400 Bannock Avenue. Officers discovered that Lori had been shot once in the head.

Lori Mooney was a resident of Clairemont and up until the time of her death she had been a regular in the area of the senior center. She was often seen riding around the neighborhood on her Suzuki motorcycle.

San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Homicide Unit are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect(s) who murdered Lori Ann Mooney almost 27 years ago.

On June 8, 1991, at approximately 6:09 a.m., San Diego Police Officers responded to the Clairemont Friendship Senior Center, located at 4425 Bannock Avenue, for a report of a body found. A nearby resident discovered the body of 29-year-old Lori Ann Mooney during his morning walk. Investigators determined that Mooney had been the victim of a homicide.

Mooney was a resident of Clairemont and up until the time of her death, had frequented the area near the Friendship Senior Center. Mooney was often seen riding around the neighborhood on her Suzuki motorcycle.
