Still Missing CA - Michaela Garecht, 9, Hayward, 19 Nov 1988 *ARREST*

I just found out that Michaela’s mom passed away this week from metastatic breast cancer. Really surprised as I followed her blog and it always sounded like they were managing it well. Perhaps the strain of everything was too much….

Extremely sad by this news but comforted that she and Michaela are together.

That is sad news,for many years I read her blog - hoping Michaela's case would be resolved .

All my best wishes of strength to her family,friends & loved ones.

Good question! I have to wonder why this is taking so long? Is it because of Covid or is there some other reason?

On a sad note, the website Michaela’s mom was writing on until her passing, Seeker’s Road, is no longer online. I hope it can be viewed through Archive.org and that someone one days writes a book about Michaela and her moms story!

No kidding! They could have had this whole thing done with while Sharon Mirsch, Michaela’s poor mother, was still alive but now she’s gone and won’t get to see Justice served for her or Michaela! Disgraceful!!

I’m just glad Sharon got to live to see her daughters killer arrested. I would’ve been so sad if she died before they connected him to the kidnapping case

Found an interesting article about the re-enactment on UM they filmed the Re-enactment seventeen days after Michaela abduction pretty incredible to jump on a case that fast and get the go ahead for the re-enactment. TV recreates kidnapping as parents watch

And no doubt it will be delayed again. You would think with this being such a high profile case the whole court process would have been wrapped up sooner!

I hope Michaela’s dad Rod and her siblings are at the hearings and give victim impact statements!

It also shows that Misch officially pleaded not guilty to Michaela's murder today.
