She has no known address, and according to the sheriff's office, the family member who reported her missing has no means of contacting her and was not regularly in contact with her in the past.

It appears she is unhoused. Given this, I wonder who her employer was.

We have very little information so far in this case.

The family member who reported Wendy missing doesn't know where she was living, doesn't have any way of contacting her, and hasn't been in contact with her recently. I'm wondering how the family member knew Wendy was missing?

Based on the MSM report, Wendy contacted her employer (name not provided) at some point (date not provided), saying she 'had to go to Ventura to help a friend or family member'. Does Wendy have any family in Ventura or is she known to visit there? How did Wendy contact her employer (phone, email, text)? Do we even know for certain that Wendy was the person who contacted her employer?

Presumably her employer would have her address and contact information, emergency contact, etc. and make that available to LE.

San Luis Obispo, presumably where Wendy lives and works, is over 100 miles north of Ventura. Therefore it would imply that she had some form of transportation to travel south between San Luis Obispo and Ventura. Perhaps she owns a vehicle or was taking a bus. If she has a vehicle then LE should be able to identify her vehicle if/when it's found. If she took a bus to Ventura, then presumably there would be a record of her purchasing a ticket.

It's also possible she accepted a ride from a person she knew.

Reportedly she was seen by someone at the San Jose Regional Medical Center on 10 July, but it's unclear who saw here there or what she was doing there. San Jose is well over 100 miles north of San Luis Obispo, so it's the the opposite direction of Ventura.

Clearly there are many possible scenarios here, but we need reliable facts to understand what is happening with Wendy's disappearance.

After looking at the case again, I'm wondering who actually saw Wendy at the San Jose Regional Medical Center. Was she there for treatment or was she visiting someone there? If she was there for treatment, then there should be admission information available to LE.

IMO those are the two most likely reasons she would be seen there.

There are interesting comments to the SLO Sheriff post. There are comments by Wendy's sister and many comments from other people who know Wendy or who have had encounters with her. See comment by MM for possible information about the hospital in San Jose.

She apparently has serious MH issues. I hope that she will be safely located.

Thanks @Unalienable Rights for providing this update. If Wendy does in fact have MH issues then IMO it seems reasonable to assume that she could have been in the San Jose Regional Medical Center for treatment. How she arrived there is unclear, and so far we have no information about events in San Jose, or those immediately after.
