Toronto police have identified a murdered woman whose dismembered body was found in a garbage bag in Leslieville on Monday afternoon.

The victim is Tien Ly, 46, of Toronto.

Police say they believe she lived with her 20-year-old son, Dallas Ly, in the Carlaw Avenue and Dundas Street East area, and they’re currently trying to track him down.

In an update Wednesday night, police spokesperson, Alex Li, said at this time the son is not considered a suspect.

“At this point we are concerned for his wellbeing,” Li said.

“Due to the nature of this unfortunate homicide and the way we found the deceased woman … we’ve been unable to locate Dallas and that’s concerning.”

On Tien Ly’s thread we’ve posted other photos of Dallas that his friend provided.
I’m a bit concerned the police are using that image of him with a bloodied tooth, of all photos. The background looks like his mother’s nail salon where she was last seen.
