There is no word about his family except for his mother. Was the father in the picture? Parental abduction maybe? Or,maybe he fell into the wather and drowned, I have no idea what are the currents in Lake Ontario but the Great Lakes have a reputation of keeping their dead, especially in winter... hope it's not that.

I'm not sure how much I could help. I was born 10 years after his disappearance.
