Windsor police say missing person related to investigation at Black Oak Heritage Park

On Tuesday, police first asked the public for help in finding the man who was last seen on Dec. 25 wearing a white suit with black lapels and possibly hiking boots.

''As previously reported,(opens in a new tab) police were conducting an active investigation at Black Oak Heritage Park on Wednesday with officers are in the area of Broadway Street and Ojibway Parkway.

Police now say the investigation involves the disappearance of Kersey(opens in a new tab), 64.''

Kersey is described as a black man, about 5'3" and weighs about 120 lbs.''

Windsor police move missing-man search to Ojibway Park

Windsor police re-focus missing man search to Ojibway Park. Scott Kersey, 64, was reported missing.

''The Windsor Police Service has switched its focus in the search for a missing man to a different part of the Ojibway complex on the city’s west side.

Officers finished searching Black Oak Heritage Park, which was re-opened to the public on Friday morning. Their focus now is on adjacent Ojibway Park.

Scott Kersey, 64, of Windsor, was last seen on Christmas Day.
As the police search continues through the woods, Ojibway Park, a popular natural area expected to soon become a national urban park, has been closed to the public. The Ojibway Nature Centre is also closed.''
