More details...the remains were under a sleeping bag.

It was the Colorado College soccer team who originally found the remains while picking up trash behind the San Juan Villa Apartments.

The investigation is still in its early stages. Police spokeswoman, Barbara Miller, said the remains were human and that investigators believe they had been there for a sometime. Officials said they have not yet identified the remains or determined whether it is male or female.

I don't know whether they were ever identified, but I work at the library, and I remember the police coming to get information - a library book or library card (I don't remember which) was found with the skeleton.
