Comedian George Carlin Dies at 71 in Los Angeles Hospital

RIP George! What a talented guy! Paladin you are banned from this day forward from attending comedy acts!

Oh my, I am not sure we can really do without him...how sad.

I'm thankful I got to see George Carlin live in Vegas for my bachelor party in August. Truly a remarkable comedian.

edit: Come to think of it...I think I'm cursed. I'm now 2/2 on seeing a comedian live and having them die within a year. First, Mitch Hedburg, and now George.

:eek::eek::eek:

Perhaps you should stay with DVDs from now on!

Awww, I saw this first thing this morning and it makes me sad. I love George. Brilliant comedian. I have spent countless hours over the years listening to him. :( RIP GC.

I am a huge Carlin fan. This news is very sad. I have seen him in concert three times and he was a gracious performer.
What a master of the English language. He was rough and offensive at times but Carlin had good heart and truly cared about people and he was a huge animal lover. I don't know how we can do without Carlin and Pryor.

Rest in peace George. You will truely be missed. Such a funny man with such a great understanding of the common word.

Salem

RIP George.
Thanks for the laughs.

I absolutely LOVE his Mickey Mouse's Birthday skit. It hs me rofl everytime I hear it.
RIP George, and prayers for the family.

Didnt he write a beautiful life statement recently? I think it was after the death of his wife? Am I thinking of the right person?

I got this a few weeks ago and saved it. It is so true...RIP George. :(
Please forgive me for the >> I seen this post and wanted to add this and didn't have time to erase all of them. I hope everyone enjoys this as much as I did.

He was one of the best. I remember my uncle having his record back when I was a kid. I would listen to it and laugh...even though I'm sure I didn't understand it, I knew what the bad words were ;)

He was truly a genius. His brain was filled with some amazing knowledge and some crazy facts. I too, was lucky enough to see him live a couple of times. I have my iPod filled with a couple of his comedy albums. When I'm stuck in traffic, I just listen and laugh.

He was one of the greatest and he will be sorely missed. RIP, George. Thanks for all of the laughs. They were some great ones.

I always enjoyed George Carlin. His comedic evolution over the years echoed many of our own life outlooks changing. His funny observations often made me nod my head and utter, "how true, how true". I just listening to him. He will be missed.
