I've seen it a few times. There was a case in Illinois a few years ago (I'm in the Milwaukee metro area) that had to be moved to my county for a change of venue. In that case I know the jury was sequestered as well.

Here in Connecticut, some of the more famous murder cases have stayed within the state. With the Petit Cheshire murders where Pattis defended one of the killers,he whined about how his defendant wouldn't get a fair trial, but that didn't matter and he was tried in nearby New Haven. Martha Moxley, who was killed by Kennedy cousin, Michael Skakel, was convicted in the same court where FD has been going. Hopefully, FD will be convicted too. With the internet, there is no place to hide. This is a case for Court TV if there ever was one.

This link is now directing to a different video.

From the video posted earlier interviewing Pattis -
FD can account for all but about 3 hours of May 24 without only relying on his word.
Pattis is not troubled about the "speck" of DNA at JD's house as transfer DNA is quite easy to move from one spot to another.
Pattis was told there were only 2 bags and not 30 and that it is confounding and troubling (I think he said fact but now that the video is gone..)
Pattis says he expects the case against MT to be dropped.
Pattis says he believes that access to the Pond is by key access only.
Weird, the video at this link was replaced & can't find the original in YouTube.

In an interview Thursday with WPLR’s Chaz and AJ, Attorney Norm Pattis said Michelle Troconis has passed a polygraph and has an alibi for the morning Jennifer Dulos dissappeared.

Why is he out here saying the person he isn't representing passed a polygraph? How about did his client FD take or pass one? MT innocent =/= FD innocent. Does not compute.

If he's smart, Boston. NYC is too close. I'm near Hartford, and EVERYONE knows about the case. IMO, Boston is the closest far place where he MIGHT get a fair trial.

I am not a lawyer but I don’t think crimes charged in the state of Connecticut can be tried outside of the State of Connecticut. The charges are brought on behalf of the people of the State (or Commonwealth) where the crime was committed. So his change of venue would only be for another city or county in Connecticut. IMO. Maybe one of the lawyers can weigh in. Now if her body is found in NY, I would think it would be a federal crime since it involved transportation across state lines, but I don’t know how they decide which federal
Courts have jurisdiction over which crimes.

I'm not sure of this either, but if so, it's going to be Hartford most likely, and he won't get a fair trial there. Maybe the SE if the state?

Just thought if this.... Maybe Pattis is trying this angle/ to put an idea into people’s heads that JD used alias names and planned her own disappearance or disappeared... He has to try every sneaky thing he can.

Ugh, I like Pattis less and less the more cases I hear he was involved in.

She has more 'splainin' to do than Lucy Ricardo.
You can't tell me that she wasn't the slightest bit suspicious when FD stopped the truck 30 times on a trip through an area of town he'd normally not drive through. And she could have gone to the police before they came looking for her. MOO
Maybe MT was afraid of FD turning on her, so she went along with what he asked her to do out of fear / intimidation, JMO

What if a tip led them to the pond? and the murder weapon is what they are searching for with the woods being a location for other evidence? I'm trying to figure out why now? We've known about the pond since the beginning...IMO
Usually, when LE conducts a search involving a lot of resources (cadaver dogs, sonar equipment, and divers in this case), they have information that strongly leads them to believe that they will find the body. Let's hope they do, and that they find her today, and get FD back behind bars. MOO
