Plead not guilty. Held without bond. DA will seek DP. In custody of Federal Agency.
Murder trial was set to begin on 7/22/24 for jury selection & continued due to Federal trial starting first.

4/26/24 Update: A hearing on Friday in Bartow Wiggins was not present. Assistant State Attorney Mark Levine told Judge J. Kevin Abdoney in the 10th Judicial Circuit that the federal authorities would not transport Wiggins to attend his trial nor any hearings in the Polk County case until after his trial on federal firearms charges was over − possibly by the fall. So Circuit Judge Abdoney continued Wiggins' trial − which was previously set for 7/22/24 in Bartow & set a status conference about the case for 8/16/24 @ 8:30am. At Friday's hearing, Wiggins' attorney, Bjorn Brunvand, said his client was currently being held in the Citrus County Jail awaiting the federal trial.
Federal court records show an indictment against Wiggins in 6/23/23 on one count of possession of ammunition by a felon. Until Wiggins’ next court appearance in Bartow, he is set for a trial in federal court on 7/1/24. The federal case was filed on 6/21/23 in the U.S. Middle District Court in Tampa, records show. On 7/21/23, in a detention order, federal marshals took Wiggins from state custody into federal custody. According to Chief Assistant State Attorney Jacob Orr, the state will be prepared for trial once the federal trial is over.

charged (3/14/20) & arraigned (6/5/20) with 2nd degree aggravated battery (person uses a deadly weapon) & 3rd degree aggravated assault (deadly weapon w/o intent to kill). Plead not guilty. Bond $6K. Bonded out on 3/16/20. Bond was cancelled (7/22/20).
