FORT PIERCE — A missing 26-year-old Vero Beach woman has been found dead, according to her stepfather, Bill Andrews, of Vero Beach.

Andrews said police found Diane Duve’s body, but would not say where, so as not to compromise a Vero Beach police investigation.

Fort Pierce police early Monday arrested her Vero Beach boyfriend, Michael Jones, 31, on a charge of violation his probation on a charge of aggravated stalking. He is being held in the St. Lucie County Jail without bail following his arrest at 3:27 a.m. Monday.

RIP Diana. So many innocent lives destroyed for no reason. I hope this jerk that killed her, is put to death.

This is horrible! That beautiful area of the tavern is very close to the hospital on the river. If he really is a lawyer and co operating we could guess that he will make a deal. Just horrible. :(
I would like to know more about the other girl mentioned above.

Diana's car was found in Melbourne.

Diana was found in her trunk.
 
Last night before I went to sleep I was searching for possible bodies found in the Melbourne area...I had a feeling he would go there. Makes it strange that he then came back to Ft. Pierce.


As far as the type of person he was. There are a lot of people on the Help Find Diana Duve page. I was working with them last night and this morning about trying to find out exactly who he is. My take is he is a con man. He has told a lot of lies, lived in a lot of places.
 
The locations of the cars isn't making sense. You can't drive two cars.
 
I apologize for the inaccuracy of my post above. I have been around here long enough to know better than to post before something is verified. Diana was found in her car in Melbourne which is north of Vero. He was found in Fort Pierce which is south of Vero. He did not confess and will not talk to authorities. They found her by a ping. This is directly from the Indian River County Sheriff's mouth, so it is accurate. Praying for her family and friends. She is their only child.
 
Oh, poor Diana! She deserved so much better than this.

12:42 p.m.: Around midnight, when police located Jones, he claimed he did not know where Duve was at, Currey said.

Another ping this morning in Melbourne lead police to South Badcock at the city's limits, where they found Duve's vehicle. About 3 to 4 a.m., they found the body of who they believe is Diana Duve in the trunk of her car. The car was in a shopping center parking lot.

PRESS CONFERENCE SCHEDULED 6/23/2014 AT 12:30 PM
Vero Beach Police Chief David Currey will hold a press conference today at 12:30 pm in reference to a Missing Endangered Adult investigation, which began on 06/20/2014. Early this morning the body of a female believed to be Diana Duve was located inside her vehicle in Melbourne, Florida. Diana Duve's boyfriend Michael Jones, age 32 was also located this morning in Ft. Pierce Florida. Michael Jones has been placed under arrest and is currently being held in the St. Lucie County jail on a violation of probation charge. More details will be released at the 12:30 pm news conference. The news conference will be held in the Vero Beach Police Department, 2nd floor classroom, 1055 20th Street, Vero Beach Fl.

Yes, just saw that on Diana's missing page. I've been checking all day and still can't find anything about Bridget in MSM. Very frustrating, because we can't start a thread for her until there's something official out there.
 
Diana Duve's parents talk about their daughter

Being the only child, she brought much joy to her parents and her grandparents... She always worked hard to make her parents proud. Diana graduated nursing school August 2011 and became a registered nurse in the state of Florida. She spent two years working as an oncology nurse at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Diana loved coming home to Vero Beach on her days off and spending time with family and friends.

She cared deeply for her loved ones and was always having fun... Diana was a beautiful, adventurous and brave woman. She loved traveling and being outdoors. She was funny, intelligent and genuine. Co-workers described Diana as a great nurse. She touched more lives than she even knew.

She recently obtained her state of California nursing licenses in hopes of moving to California in the near future to start a new adventure and grow as a nurse.
