FL - Former President Donald Trump indicted, 40 counts, classified documents and obstruction of justice, June 2023, Trial May 2024 #2

I fell asleep trying to read this page of the over 4,000 legal cases involving Donald Trump.

There is another page involving cases from when he was President.

His entire life has been spent filing lawsuits- hiring lawyers-- then stiffing them-- despite all of his money, ignoring his criminal activities, I would not want to be a person who spent my life fighting off lawsuits-- but he actually enjoys it, because for him, it is putting it over on the system- the democratic system, that he tried to overthrow-- and thinks he is immune from consequences. I hope and pray he is not right--

Like a vampire, reinvigorated by fresh blood. IMO.

I am not an an attorney, but you don't have to be to realize that the Trump attorney(s) that argued yesterday in front of an appeals court in DC, should have been embarrassed to present such an absurd and almost laughable argument which is basically that Trump, as president, could have done anything (i.e. murder, assassination, etc) and would have blanket immunity for his actions. I don't know how the 3 judges didn't just outright scold him for bringing such a foolish, ridiculous case before the appeals court. Just more people twisting themselves into a pretzel and ruining whatever reputations they once had, all for the man who would be king. Additionally, they'll be lucky to
get paid.

Very true.

Don't forget that Trump is the one who said, while campaigning in 2016, that he could shoot someone on 5th Avenue in Manhattan and get away with it.

His mindset has always been that he can do what he wants and he is above the rule of law…even before he was president.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but so far, to the present time, he has conducted himself in such a manner as to be above the law, and to date, not one judge has stopped him with serious action-- his threats are putting prosecutors, judges and others at risk for death--but no one makes him shut his mouth by being tough, like putting him in jail-- gag orders mean nothing to him (obviously).

I think this is still good... at least I can shorten it up a bit! :)

1/9/24 Update: Defense attorney John Sauer & James Pearce, argued for Jack Smith's office before the 3-Judge panel. Appeals court judges signaled Tuesday that they will likely reject Donald Trump’s claims that he is immune from prosecution in his election interference case. The outcome seemed clear during arguments that touched on a range of political and legal considerations. The judges did not say when they might rule, but the timing of their decision is crucial with a March 4 trial date looming. Trump’s lawyers, who are hoping to delay the case beyond the November presidential election, are certain to go to the U.S. Supreme Court if the D.C. court sides with special counsel Jack Smith. For reference see post #445 (article) page 23/DC case. Next CIPA Section 6(a) hearing on 1/16/24.

259 01/12/2024 PAPERLESS ORDER denying without prejudice Special Counsel's Motion to Compel Disclosure Regarding Advice-of-Counsel Defense 208. The Court has reviewed the Motion, Defendants' Opposition 248, the Special Counsel's Reply 251, and is fully advised in the premises. Assuming the facts and circumstances in this case warrant an order compelling disclosure of an advice-of-counsel trial defense, the Court determines that such a request is not amenable to proper consideration at this juncture, prior to at least partial resolution of pre-trial motions, transmission to Defendants of the Special Counsel's exhibit and witness lists, and other disclosures as may become necessary. The Special Counsel's Motion 208 is therefore denied without prejudice. Signed by Judge Aileen M. Cannon on 1/12/2024. (jf01)

Federal prosecutors are set for a sealed hearing on Wednesday in former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago classified documents case.

Special counsel Jack Smith will appear before U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon on Wednesday morning. Cannon said in a paperless order filed in federal court on Jan. 11 that the hearing will be held to evaluate classified filings by Smith being sought by Trump and his co-defendants.

“This hearing shall be conducted on a sealed, ex parte basis in a facility suitable for the discussion of classified information,” the docket reads. An ex-parte hearing means outside the presence of the other party, meaning Trump and his attorneys will not attend.

Monday, 2/12/24 @ 10am & Tuesday, 2/13/24: Classified evidence hearing before U.S. Judge Aileen Cannon in Trump's 40-count federal felony Mar-a-Lago classified documents case. [CIPA § 4 motions]

Weeks before Nauta—a Navy enlistee stationed with the White House Presidential Support Detail since 2012—traded Washington, D.C. for Palm Beach, Navy officials had escorted him off of White House grounds, reassigned him to a new post, and docked his White House security clearance in response to accusations of fraternization, adultery, harassment, and other inappropriate sexual conduct, including “revenge *advertiser censored*,” two people with direct knowledge of the matter told The Daily Beast…

Nauta, both sources said, was accused of violating this prohibition in multiple overlapping and emotionally abusive romantic relationships while he was married and assigned to the White House. The “revenge *advertiser censored*” included supposedly compromising images of women that Nauta had allegedly retained and threatened to make public, according to the sources.

All three women told Navy officials about the alleged misconduct, the sources explained, which they said occurred while Nauta was Trump’s White House valet, fetching Diet Cokes for the parched president.

However, it’s unclear whether the Navy officially charged Nauta with any violations, or whether all parties were content to let him quickly and quietly retire without further incident.

BBM. Wow! Revenge videos or photos are illegal in D.C. The fact that Trump continued to employ that jerk says more about the employer than the jerk.
