The judge had set a review hearing for Thursday. State Attorney's Office spokesman David Chapman said the hearing was continued to Oct. 5 to allow Washington to receive the warrant. Its governor would next need to sign the paperwork. The state can hold her up to 90 days.

In Orange County jail waiting for transfer to Jacksonville in Duval County. Transferred to Duval County on 3/22/23. Held without bond. Plead not guilty. DA will seek the DP.

9/12/23 Update: Judge London Kite said the case is currently in limbo & she won’t bring Fernandez back to court until the co-defendant, Gardner-Fernandez, is in this jurisdiction. Gardner-Fernandez has not yet been extradited to Duval County from Washington & her next court appearance is Thursday, 9/14/23 in Benton County, Washington. The judge in Fernandez’s hearing on Tuesday set a tentative date of 10/2/23 for the next pretrial hearing but said she would adjust that if Gardner-Fernandez is not yet in Duval County.
*Henry Arthur Tenon (61/now 62) – Plead guilty (3/17/23) to 2nd degree murder & will testify against Saldana & Gardner. Status hearing on 10/9/23.

Shanna Gardner is facing charges of First-Degree Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, Solicitation to Commit a Capital Felony, and Child Abuse. Bridegan was gunned down in front of his young daughter in 2022 while driving in Jacksonville Beach.

8/18/23 Update: Gardner makes her initial appearance in Benton County Superior Court Friday afternoon after police & federal agents arrested at her house in the 4700 block of Laurel Drive in West Richland. Florida investigators say. Accused ex-husband killer Gardner does not waive extradition, hearing on her arrest coming, held without bail. She does have the right to challenge her detention & demand a warrant from the Florida’s governor’s office. Deputy Prosecutor Josh Lily said they’ve already been in contact with the prosecutor’s office in Duval County & are working on getting the warrant. A review hearing in Benton County was set for 9/14/23.
9/14/23 Update: Gardner appeared in Benton County Superior Court after Florida governor Ron DeSantis signed an extradition order. The order requests the approval from Washington state’s governor, Jay Inslee. The extradition hearing was an attempt by Gardner’s attorneys to prevent her extradition to Duval County. She is accused of hatching a murder-for-hire plot. The Washington judge on Thursday continued the case until 10/5/23 pending the governor’s order.
10/3/23 Update: Washington Gov. Jay Inslee has signed a warrant to extradite Gardner-Fernandez back to Florida. The State Attorney's Office said there is no official timetable for when Gardner, 36, will be transferred.
