UPDATE: FBI funding a search of a Charlton County, GA landfill in hopes of finding evidence connected to #JoleenCummings disappearance. Suspect Kimberly Kessler seen on camera throwing garbage away around time of Cummings’ disappearance. @ActionNewsJax is live in seconds!

WTH???
Authorities said they obtained video appearing to put a white trash bag into a dumpster about the time of Cummings' disappearance. The FBI said they have asked Waste Management to hold 5 million pounds of trash received about that time aside so it could be searched at a later date. They said they waited to search it because they wanted to exhaust other leads first.

FBI to search Georgia landfill for missing Nassau County mother

The weather isn't going to be on the FBI's side. According to the forecast for the area it is supposed to rain starting around 2pm tomorrow and continue to sometime on Monday. Hopefully, Waste Management has the dumping location for the specific truck that delivered the trash the FBI is looking for narrowed down to a very small area.

Any idea how difficult searching thru 5 million pounds of trash will be? Sounds like a huge undertaking, but I really have no idea.

Evidently it is the size of a football field. Or 2700 tons of trash. They had alerted the landfill prior to this and asked them to set it aside while they followed up on other leads

FBI to begin searching southeast Georgia Landfill for evidence in Joleen Cumming's case

According to officials, there is surveillance video showing suspect Kimberly Kessler throwing something away in a dumpster in Nassau County. Agencies were able to trace where that garbage would be dumped and found it would have gone to the Chesser Landfill.

Cadaver dogs are available, however, they will not be used. There are sharp objects and possibly harmful chemicals and fire hazards which makes it too dangerous to deploy cadaver dogs.

A First Coast News reporter asked State Attorney Melissa Nelson if a body is necessary to bring murder charges. Nelson said the State Attorney's Office has, in the past, successfully brought murder charges without a body. At this point, Kessler is being held on grand-theft auto for allegedly stealing and dumping Cummings' car.

At a minimum I would think FBI is hoping for the murder weapon or a tool used in the commission of, or furtherance of the crime, or clothing and/or item(s) belonging to Joleen. Though, there was that question and answer regarding the use of cadaver dogs. It could just be the media making an assumption that the FBI is looking for Joleen's remains at the landfill. But at the same time I think that if they had seen Kimberly on camera putting more than one bag in the dumpster, let alone a body, they would have already started searching the landfill contents and not waited until now.
