I would really like to know the truth of how my fiance died. There were many lies and cover-ups by doctors, cornorers and the police. I believe I know the truth, but would like it confirmed, as I could not get anywhere with the authorities.
Just a brief history. Rob was a recovering drug addict which I was helping him overcome and he was on methadone treatment and seeing a drug counsellor. His main problem was pills, but when we moved to the place where he collapsed, we moved two apartments from a drug dealer. The drug dealer was very bold and announced this in front of me the day we met him. Rob tried to keep away from him, but it was like putting candy in front of a child and Rob relapsed a couple times until I learned to keep all money on me, so he couldn't afford the drugs. He was still able to get pills at times from another friend and the week he collapsed we spoke with a drug counsellor to set up for him to get into rehab. He was also paranoid schizophrenic which was under control at time of collapse.
Within the month of his collapse and death, the drug dealer approached Rob. Rob had been trying to avoid him. All Rob told me was that the drug dealer .. John Dalea, wanted him to deal for him and Rob said no. He told me he feared for his life. When I wanted to call the police on the dealer, like so many times I wanted to, Rob would talk me out of it saying that he would kill me and my family.
The morning of his collapse, July 16, 2005 he was very happy as he found out his family from another province were coming to our wedding in November. In the afternoon he developed a tooth ache. As I held onto all money, I gave him about $7 at approx 2:30 pm to buy tylenol, he came back at 2:45 pm and said he did not have enough money. I gave him an additional $2 and he left and that was the last time I saw him awake.
His death was ruled accidental overdose, but I believe to be murder by the drug dealer, misdiagnosis of the doctor and cover up by the police because of mishandling with the city cornoner and doctor. No justice has been served.

-Reported by unknown person that Rob was screaming and swearing at unknown person 30 minutes prior (I know for fact he was only gone from our apartment 20 minutes, as when the superintendant knocked at my door I looked at the clock and thought it was Rob, and knew he was gone 20 minutes .. thought he forgot his key). It was the superintendant letting me know he was unconscious outside.
-Found unresponsive by unknown person 15 minutes prior to 911
-They arrived to find Rob unresponsive and did not know if it was from a trauma or OD.
Doctor`s Report Date: July 18, 2005, states Rob overdosed on 5 different drugs. The doctor told me that he overdosed and ultimately was killing himself of antifreeze (later she denied ever saying). Not until my doctor received Rob's lab reports in September 2005, did I find out he had no antifreeze in his system but PCP .. a drug he never mentioned to me. Rob explained to me all about drugs and what they did, he had never mentioned that drug at all. He had mentioned about pills and cocaine and told me he would never do needles as he was scared of them.

Date of Regional Coroner's Report: May 25, 2006 Dr. Eden states that Rob died of mixed drug toxicity by means of accident.
