The child was playing in the courtyard of the guesthouse and restaurant "Zum weldesrauschen" managed by his parents, Karin and Gottifried Stahl. The research, directed mainly towards the nearby river Isar, are vain. On 12 December 1993, the German police received two letters in an envelope, signed "Niky's daddy" (the Niky dad). The writer addresses the Stahl spouses claiming to have kidnapped Dominik, to have it brought up as a child, to love him and can not live without him.
