Other details from italian trasmission Chi l'ha visto?

Dominik Stahl, a three-year-old boy, disappears on 1 May 1986 from Mittenwald, Germany.
The child was playing in the courtyard of the guesthouse and restaurant "Zum weldesrauschen" managed by his parents, Karin and Gottifried Stahl. The research, directed mainly towards the nearby river Isar, are vain.
On 12 December 1993, the German police received two letters in an envelope, signed "Niky's daddy" (the Niky dad).
The writer addresses the Stahl spouses claiming to have kidnapped Dominik, to have it brought up as a child, to love him and can not live without him. He asks forgiveness for having caused so much pain and upload a photo of Dominik grew to prove the veracity of his claims.
The two letters are written on the letterhead of two hotels: the Grand Hotel Brun in Milan and the Arabella Hotel Boghenhausen of Monaco of Bavaria. The envelope bears the stamp of Paris la Chapelle.
The Stahl spouses are certain that the Photo boy is Dominik.

The first two letters make it followed other, always on letterhead of international hotels in London, Lausanne, Tokyo, Paris.
On 17 January 1995, in an envelope set in Tokyo, together with an 'other letter comes two photocopies: On 14 August 1995 a letter arrived pocketed in Perugia. It contains two photos.
After the first broadcast viewers recognize in the background a place near Gubbio.
L 'last letter is dated 21 May 1996 from Deruta in the province of Perugia. The envelope may have been purchased in Germany, while the stamps are part of a special stamp issue.
One of two stamps was issued only three days before (May 18, 1995).
These stamps and those of the other letters can possibly give useful information to unravel the mystery of the death of Dominik Stahl?
And if it is not Dominik, who is the boy of the photos? And where were they taken?

April 8 1997

The italian police discover who not is Dominik is the portrait in photographs taken near Gubbio and sent to the child's parents. It is about a young German temporary guest a community of Lake Trasimeno, back now to his family. So who took those photos, and why? This is only a pathological liar?

Bumping up case. He is not forgotten.

I wonder what that area of the Isar river was like. Was it a shallow river and he really should have been found if he fell into the river or was it very possible he could have been missed? Or was there nature neary, he could have simply become lost in the forest? How large were the search groups, how long did they search? What methods did they use? Just things I wonder about.

Dominik Stahl seit 1986 vermisst

Translated by Google:
05/01/1986 Summary: Dominik disappeared almost without a trace from Mittenwald / Bavaria on 05/01/1986 when he was playing behind his parents' restaurant. Years later, the parents received letters from an anonymous sender who claimed he had kidnapped Dominik because he wanted a son. At the time, the letter was accompanied by a photo of a boy who was identified by the authorities as someone else; the person who wrote the letter could never be located and his intentions are still unclear.

Bumping up. I'd like to find a LE link about this case but can't. I don't find him on Interpol.

If anyone can find a LE link, please add it to the thread.

Perhaps the case is considered closed by LE and there will never be more to find, IDK.
