The prosecution witness claims to have seen the videos in his caravan and to have shown at least excerpts of them to another witness.

When asked about the whereabouts of the tapes, the caravan is a possibility, which is also said to have been on the couple's property in Portugal later on.

However, the two witnesses categorically ruled out a connection to the 53-year-old and his caravan in court on Friday.

COURT CASES IN LOWER SAXONY

The two main prosecution witnesses were not credible due to their changing testimony, said defense lawyer Friedrich Fülscher on Friday.

He had announced at the start of the trial that his client would ultimately be acquitted of all the crimes charged.

The accused B. is currently serving a seven-year prison sentence for the rape of an American woman in Portugal, to which he was also sentenced by the Braunschweig Regional Court in 2019.

International media follow the proceedings
The current proceedings are being followed by the international media because the sex offender, who has several previous convictions, is suspected of murder in the case of three-year-old Madeleine McCann, known as Maddie, who disappeared from a Portuguese vacation resort in 2007.

However, the Maddie case is not the subject of the current trial. The presumption of innocence applies.

Just to show the level of reporting, CB was in jail in 2006 when he asked for his stuff to be cleared out, MM disappeared in as yet unexplained circumstances in 2007, how the heavens does clearing a flat previously erase any evidence linked to an as yet disappearance?

A to-do list of the witness was also discussed. Finely noted on it: Orders that had to be done in the house when Brückner was in prison. "2-3 large boxes and a few garbage bags" were to be disposed of, wardrobe, bedside table and chest of drawers were to be searched, cameras and films should be taken with you.

The biker and his girlfriend have a different story to HeB. The bar owner disagrees with him. Dave Edgar can’t recall hearing from him. If the OG police statement is different from what he is now saying, I wonder where that leaves the case and how it affects the MM investigation.

Edgar says that he handed all his paperwork over to OG, so they could check the accuracy of DE's memory

Edgar was or is ex Royal Ulster and Cheshire police, he said in 2017 all files he had were handed to the met.

But Mr Edgar, who passed all his findings to the Operation Grange team when they took over the search in May 2011, said officers could be chasing up two old leads.

Maybe CB had one of those magic machiney things, like the one that Krugel man had, the South African policeman that the McCann's hired to find their child? Except instead of it having the power to locate a missing child with a hair sample, it instead gave CB the power to see into the future and he was just getting his house in order in advance?

That's possible, surely?

Bonkers, to put it very mildly. I had to look him to to recall his name (in response to Richard's post and an explanation for how CB could maybe see into the future) and had a read of that link. Quite extraordinary that this was indulged. Mark Harrison's (very restrained in the circs) 'likely to be of low value' remarks made me laugh though. :D

The accused then tied & gagged the woman to a table & raped her again. He then whipped the victim on the back with a whip he had brought with him & finally forcibly performed oral sex with the victim. The accused filmed large parts of the events with a video camera he had brought with him). Braunschweig Regional District Court
Germany/Portugal – *Charged (Oct. 11, 2022) & arrest warrant reinstated 11/18/22 - a 14 year old teenager (unknown victim) (on tape: assaulted/hit the naked girl with a whip. Said to have brutally forced the girl to have oral sex. The accused also videotaped this act). Took place between Dec. 28, 2000 to April 8, 2006 on the Praia da Luz, Algarve coast, Portugal.
Germany/Portugal - *Charged (Oct. 11, 2022) & arrest warrant reinstated 11/18/22 - an elderly woman 70-80 yrs old (unknown victim) a Tour Rep (tied up & raped the victim in her holiday apt. He then hit the victim several times with a whip. The accused is said to have recorded the entire event with a video camera). Took place around the same time (between Dec. 28, 2000 to April 8, 2006) on the Praia de Luz, Algarve coast, Portugal.
Germany/Portugal – *Charged (Oct. 11, 2022) & arrest warrant reinstated 11/18/22 - 10 year old German girl (Joana E.) (wearing only shoes & otherwise naked. He grabbed the child's wrist & began to perform masturbation movements on his naked penis). On Salema (Zalema) beach, near Praia de Luz, Portugal, April 7, 2007).
Germany/Portugal – *Charged (Oct. 11, 2022) & arrest warrant reinstated 11/18/22 – Ines VP (11 year old Portuguese girl) (pulled down his trousers & underpants & made masturbation movements on his naked penis in order to sexually arouse himself, until the frightened girl ran to her father for help. The suspect was arrested on the spot by the Portuguese police). Exposed himself in playpark, São Bartolomeu de Messines, June 11, 2017).
Trial began on February 16, 2024. (And continued on Feb. 23, Mar. 1, Mar. 14, Apr. 2, Apr. 10, 4/12, 4/17 & 4/19/24)

Brueckner is currently serving a 7 year sentence for the 2005 rape on a pensioner. While he is still the main suspect in Madeleine case, these above cases will be tried first & he will be charged with Madeleine later (maybe!)
