Next have to read to see who their LE contact is, then find their email addy on the LE web sites I posted. See below.

Rita had two boys, so it should be possible. They and other 3 children were put into foster care (2 girls and infant from new marriage) after he got arrested.

Perhaps she is under a married name but I could not find her or any more info. Her family has her listed as "Missing, Presumed Dead" on their family tree on Ancestry. According to records found on Ancestry, Gail Skelton married a man with the surname Garcia in Reno, NV on 5 Apr 1980. The date she is listed as "missing" is 26 Sep 1980. She had been previously married (in 1973) and divorced (in 1974) to a man with the surname Brewer. Perhaps she is listed missing under one of these married names?

Anyone in California want to pick this up and see about getting her listed in NAMUS?
I don't have a clue where to start or even how to find out if she has a missing persons report filed somewhere.
I'd like to make a thread for her but I don't think I can with only the findagrave info.

No, I don't like to contact family members, but I know many others here do. I was hoping someone here would figure out how to reach out to them if she is not listed anywhere else as missing. I just keep thinking of how Marcia King's family had her listed on their family tree as "Missing-- presumed deceased" and meanwhile Buckskin girl went unidentified for decades because there was no official report in the system. How many others are there like that-- where family knows they are missing and assumes a report was filed but the missing person is not in NAMUS or any other online database?

Based on the date of Sept 1980, Gail could be Arroyo Grande Jane Doe or Walker County Jane Doe, or some other 1980 UID case. But there are no pictures, no description of her and no circumstances about her case online.

Hi all, re: Gail Skelton I reached out to the person who posted on her Find a Grave page (btw, Roselvr, I also have paid ancestry.) JR knows a lot of people who knew Gail, including her old fiance and has spoken to her brother. She said Gail was definitely reported missing to the police, whether or not they took the report I don't know. I don't know how much I am allowed to say about it but I also sent out an email to the Galt Police Chief several hours before I contacted JR and while I haven't gotten a response back I am hopeful. If I don't get a response in the next week I can always contact Dustin Driscoll as he and I have had several email threads before.

BTW folieadeuxnola, JR wants to know where you got all of the pictures of Gail.

ETA: Apparently she may not have been reported missing from Galt. Will update when I know more?
