McDonald's employee stabbed over drive-thru order, police say
Des Moines police are searching for two suspects after a teenage McDonald's employee was stabbed in the leg Tuesday night following a heated dispute that began over a drive-thru order.
Des Moines police Sgt. Paul Parizek said that around 8:05 p.m. Tuesday, two men pulled into the drive-thru of the McDonald's at 1404 Des Moines St. and got into a dispute with a 19-year-old employee.
Parizek said they eventually entered the store, where the exchange escalated and the manager stepped in to calm it down. The manager eventually refunded the two customers about $11 for their order, and they left the store.
When the manager let the employee step outside to take a break, Parizek said the two suspects were still in the parking lot and one of them stabbed the employee in the leg.
