Some associates of Forys say that he died of a drug overdose, but his body was never recovered. There are also rumors that he was murdered, but nothing has been substantiated. He was last known to reside in the Carbondale, Illinois area.

I lived in Carbondale from 1982 to 1987. I have fond memories of school, friends, etc. Crime happens there, but when it does, it usually is drugs or gang-related. This family needs justice for Mr. Forys.
