A mystery of sorts involving a 14-year-old composite police sketch and possible threads some think might connect the disappearances of three Indiana University students, two slain and one still missing, is solved.

<In and around Bloomington, there’s a grim and growing list of such landmarks, places where a young woman - a student at Indiana University - was last seen, where she disappeared, where she died or where her body was discovered. They are the locations for a series of tragedies that sometimes fade in the collective memory but never quite disappear.

What to make of the grisly array is difficult to say, but together they raise some important questions.

Does IU - and by extension, Bloomington - have a problem with young women falling prey to murdering opportunists?>

Hmmm... I was not sure where to put this since it relates to Hannah Lauren and Jill....

Do folks in the Bloomington area have any doubts about John Meyers guilt in the Jill Behrman case? From what I have read, the case was pretty sketchy.

Good catch Ros!! :) Here's another link.... it doesn't sound like she is going to move it. JMO!!!

Judge Judith Stewart says she'll rule later on whether to move the trial, but that stories on Wilson's death weren't limited to Brown County.

Messel's trial is scheduled to start July 22. He's accused of killing Hannah Wilson back in April and dumping her body in a remote area of Brown County.>

Oh and he is asking the court to pay for the move based on all of the publicity??? If I remember right he just received 3k for a PI from the courts as well. Argh!!!

A judge says she'll wait until jury selection to decide whether to move the trial of a Bloomington man charged with murder in the fatal beating an Indiana University student.

The Herald-Times reports Stewart wrote in the ruling that the best way to determine whether jurors in Brown County have been swayed by media coverage is to ask them during jury selection.

No trial date has been set for 49-year-old Daniel Messel. He's being held at the Brown County Jail without bond.

It's sad no one listened, Hannah would be alive now..

Does anyone know what type of weapon DM used to murder Hannah?

Brown County Prosecutor Ted Adams did not object to delaying Daniel Messel's murder trial, but he had one request from the 22-year-old victim's parents: that the trial not be held in April, the month in which the student from Fishers was born and in which she died saying it's too emotional for the family.

Brown Circuit Judge Judith Stewart agreed to honor that request and set the trial for June 1.
