Chrysler has a huge footprint there. World's largest aluminum foundry and a large bronze foundry. Thousands are employed at that massive facility in the middle of town, they have three other facilities, a little up the road on 931. Maybe these folks crossed paths, plus Kokomo does have a certain reputation for various criminal stuff. Drugs, sex trafficking, etc
