2 arrested on cruelty charges after 3-month-old hospitalized with broken bones, malnourishment

Two people are facing child cruelty charges after a baby in their care was hospitalized with multiple broken bones and malnourishment, authorities say.

The child’s primary caregivers, Haiden K. Wilson, 19, of Westlake, and Isabella L. Fox, 20, of Lake Charles, turned themselves in on Friday, May 3, Vincent said.

That little baby is having to work hard, I would imagine, to progress in the healing of those broken bones; also hoping the malnourishment was not too severe.
What a tough way for a little one to get started in this world.
Hoping the family member who now has custody will give the little one lots of attention, love, and will also take care of any medical follow-up that is necessary for the little one.

CALCASIEU PARISH, La. (KLFY)– Two people were arrested after authorities learned a 3-month-old child was being treated for multiple broken bones and malnourishment, as a result of alleged child abuse.

On May 8, Wilson was released on bond, but Fox is still being held at the Calcasieu Correctional Center.

So somebody has bonded out Wilson but not Fox. Hope Haiden is being kept far away from baby by the unnamed relative who has it. none of the articles explain their relationship to the child but from a glance at Haiden's Facebook page I am guessing they are the parents so not sure why the article wouldn't just say so. note the posted video on 10/23/23 where they show the gender reveal for little boy B.
