look at the mapquest link below. the red star "A" is the intersection of roads N3890 (county line road) & E 1130. the clearing just above & to the left of the star is taylor's house. there is a scale at the bottom right. you can click & drag up county line road to see where it crosses bad creek. i hope this helps.

i think you must change it to aerial image from streetmap
in the 1st frame the creek is a under the county names. click up 1 level & you'll have a better view of the bridge area

E1130 rd & N3890 rd
Weleetka, OK
A clearing on N3890 on the left, north of E1130 is about where the house is.
The crime occurred 400 meters north on N3890 (County Line Rd).
The bridge is about 400 meters north of the crime scene.
The bridge is not visible on the sat, but you can see where Bad Creek intesects N3890.

This interactive map shows the location of bridges in the US and their structural sufficiency. It says there are 246 bridges in Okfuskee County.

Thanks, Tulsa! I'm glad you posted it here as well.

I was looking at it carefully. I found the bridge where the girls walked. There were two bridges, each about 3 miles from the girls' bridge, that were over the N. Canadian River. Either place could be where the boys in the truck could have been, I guess.

That is a nice map.

What is interesting is if you assume the girls were killed about 900 feet from the Placker driveway, they were killed roughly halfway into the area of dark trees. The dark trees start north of the driveway a ways and then stop up north where the land clears on the east side of the road.

The dark trees stretch just over 1400 feet and start a little under 200 feet north of the Placker driveway. Subtract the 200 feet from the 900 feet and it gives you 700 feet into the trees, which is halfway. A coincidence?

I wonder how current that image is.
