Mystery deepens after man vanishes on way to football game
Police say Mark went to a licensed premises on Swan St, Richmond and was there when the game started, but it is unclear if he ever actually made it to the MCG.
When he failed to return home after the game, Mark was reported missing.
The last time he was seen was at a bank in Paisley St, Footscray just before midday on Thursday April, 11, which puzzled investigators as he has no known associates in that area or the western suburbs generally.
“Mark’s disappearance is out of character and family and police are becoming increasingly concerned due to the length of time he has been missing,” police say.
Mark, 51, has been missing since heading off to an AFL match about a month ago
Mark is described as 182cm tall with a medium build and short brown hair.
He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a dark-coloured jumper with a white hoodie underneath and a dark-coloured beanie.
CCTV footage has been released of the 51-year-old at the bank in Footscray.
Anyone with any information has been urged to contact Warragul Police Station on (03) 5622 7111.
