Thomas Kern Fleming
Case Classification: Endangered Missing
Missing Since: June 16, 2016
Location Last Seen: Glendale, St. Louis County, Missouri
Fleming went missing from Glendale, Missouri on June 16, 2016. He was last seen leaving his mother's residence on Country Club Lane around 11:00 a.m., driving his silver 2007 Nissan Versa with a red panda sticker on the rear windshield. He has never been heard from again.
Fleming was an accountant at the time of his disappearance, and the State Board of Accountancy had sent a registered letter to his address. Fleming, or someone using his name, signed for it at 11:16 a.m. on June 16, shortly after he left his mother's residence. Her house is only a few minutes from his apartment, and he would have had time to go home and sign for the letter, but an attorney for the Board of Accountancy didn't believe the signature was his.
Twelve days after he went missing, Fleming's vehicle was found abandoned next to a coal plant in Sauget, Illinois, near the eastern bank of the Mississippi River. It didn't appear to have been searched through and there was no evidence of foul play. An employee who worked at a nearby facility recalled seeing the vehicle come and go in the days after Fleming's disappearance before it was abandoned.
Fleming is a diabetic who suffers from depression and left his medication behind. He hasn't used his credit cards or accessed his bank accounts since his disappearance. Investigators have not discovered any evidence of foul play in Fleming's case, but his whereabouts remain unknown.
