I'm not sure these two cases are related but it's another theory we can bang our heads against.

Janina Vasquez was last seen on February 12th, 2015, a week later her body was found in a well at Berkley Riverfront Park in KCMO. “They only spent a few short minutes in the park and they called the search off,” Cochran said.

Vasquez’s body was found a week later by a city employee, 25 feet down at the bottom of the flood control well."

IMO, we get unreliable reporting in the majority of the cases. In addition, the news media basically shuts down on Thursday evening/Friday morning and do not commence active reporting until around Noon on Monday. Fake and unreliable news is the norm now.

Wow, that's not making a whole lot of sense. Similar to this case

It's funny that you would post that because I did a search for "KC police Incompetent" and found this :

After seeing an article like that, I am kind of wondering if her reason for leaving might have been the police. Maybe her reason for removing the gps... was the police. Maybe the reason she's not revealing herself right now... is the police.

Not convinced of this, but hard to discard it as implausible given an article like that.

We know she was arrested in Wichita a few years back.

I think if the family hires a PI, they should poke their nose around looking for info on a potential CI situation with Toni.

Except for the age difference I would have known you on the party scene in Little Rock. I know all too well the ins and outs of that life in LR. However, I never got caught and was lucky in that sense because there were PLENTY of times I came really close. You got really lucky having an aunt that's an attorney. I've seen the game the cops in LR play.

Oh man, I was so lucky all the way around. I lived in Searcy and I was out every weekend with all the Jacksonville air force kids we had a nice scene. There were places like dollhouse that were a traditional strip club and after they were forced to close the bar at 2 you'd pay 5.00 to joint the arterhours from 3 AM on....DJs would spin and you'd spin and then you'd leave with the sun hurting your huge pupils. I immediately got that vibe from her post QT plans.,

I knew some dealers that make serial killers look like a safe escort down a dark alley. I also ran around with a bunch of LR cops that did more drugs than your average addict. All of these things are reasons why I keep getting so many bad vibes in this case. Just too many open questions: she's in the wrong area, the cops are sitting on info (apparently), and her phone and GPS are out of the picture. I really hope she hasn't crossed the wrong people.

I don't know the exact dates, you might be correct. But at some point she left Wichita due to the consequences of the drug arrest

Regardless of the exact dates though, the key question is if she is a CI. If she has been arrested here in KC or if somehow the Wichita arrest created a situation where she became a CI here, then Janina and Toni potentially have a similar situation.

Hard to read about janina's case and not see how police seemed to have either been really incompetent or... worried about liability of a CI being killed due to a blown cover?

Pine Bluff eh? Brave lol. I can't talk we went to a ton of gay bars after hours too. And these after hours locations would hire off duty cops who would work security in uniform. Some kids go to college and have babies and some party and it takes a while to grow up. She liked money bc she was 20 and making what seemed like a crap-ton of money.

Ok I looked at a map I printed out. what I see is a lake small one and train tracks is there any possibility that Toni slipped into the lake? Since it was bad outside when she first left? Because of her car is also missing.

I checked the court records for Jackson county and there aren't any cases for her. The only cases for a Toni Anderson are from the early 90's - before this Toni Anderson was even born.

Ok, so now find this in regards to janina's drug related arrest on the her thread :

According to Johnson County records, it looks like there might have been a drug bust Janina was involved in. She was never charged in criminal court for this, but appears to owe taxes on a large amount of marijuana seized.

I too don't think it is a coincidence the mother posted that.

That means Janina's arrest, just like Toni's was in Kansas, not Missouri. (to my knowledge)

The next similarity is that both somehow avoided going to prison -- thus the speculation they became Confidential Informants


I encourage you all to take a look at the case and much thanks to plombage for pointing out the possible connection.

At minimum janina and her mother deserve someone taking a closer look at her case, because it's absolutely crazy to believe that this girl climbed a fence and tossed herself down a well and put the grate back on. Please read the case, it's completely insane, and I have no idea how you can trust the KC police without applying a heavy dose of skepticism after reading that case. It's lunacy. You come away thinking the goal was to NOT solve the case. So... making this case here a bit harder for me to look at, and not wonder if there is a lack of desire to solve it either.

Yeah - see why I say I'm lucky to be alive. We also did brilliant stuff like drive to Stuttgart and Hot Springs. One favorite spot was a gay bar down by the river in LR at the bottom of Cantrell hill. Back in my day you could buy certain party favors at the front desk.

All the more reason why this girl could be in a real mess - especially if she was making a pick up. You never know how shady someone really, really is. Doing that all alone is a horribly bad idea - I don't care how well you know the person. There's just no good way to go about it all alone in my experience. There's a reason why us gals go to the restroom together.

She states she was arrested in that tumblr page and in her twitter as well, and was amazed as to how she avoided prison. (and she didn't want to talk about it)

Janina wasn't ever charged in criminal court. So maybe we won't see the records in whatever database you are searching in.

But I think if Toni was arrested in Wichita, thats the county we need to search for an arrest record similar to what we see with Janina. What was the outcome of Toni's arrest and did she become a CI. I'm really not sure how you would go about finding that out. Obviously, I can think of reasons why it shouldn't be something anyone could access. But I think it'd be a good idea in this case. jmo

I've been asking all along if there are any ravines or drop offs along any of the roadways she would have travelled or may have travelled and no one has responded or posted their own comment till now (that I've seen). To me there's just as much for this to be a probability as there is for any other theory.

For one, in my own experience I have been out WAY to late countless times and have fallen asleep behind the wheel, nearly running off the road. Second, she was driving in an area she wasn't supposed be in,band may not have been as familiar with. Third, she was low on gas. Fourth, she got pulled over, which can be stressful and make someone anxious. Fifth, she had people waiting on her, which also could have arrested her and made her anxious. And, lastly, there was apparently light icing in the area. There have been plenty of cases where a car slid off the road and was somewhat camouflaged by the landscape.

I would hate for something as simple as slowly driving the shoulders of where she traveled to not get checked and then after it's too late that's exactly how/where she is found and has been all along.

I replied a day or so back after looking at google maps streetview and satellite. I don't see anywhere on her route that we believe where she could have easily gone into the water , because of the distance and barriers like train tracks and trees.


I concluded it wasn't impossible, but not likely. The best possibility for that I thought was west of the casino on route 9.

I keep seeing this "she was low on gas", and I get it. She said it to the cop, and I call that an excuse to get out of a ticket. But even if she was... I'm gonna be sooooo friggin surprised if she left that gas station without enough gas to get where she was going.

I still think an accident is plausible. Which is why I looked at routes that would take her close to the edge of the water. My conclusion is that it wasn't all that likely. Not impossible, but it didn't seem likely. If there was an embankment on that road, I'd say it be a whole lot more likely. Even on the broadway ext, which I think is far less likely that she'd have been on, it is closer to the water, but it has maybe 3 foot cement barriers. Is it possible she flew over that somehow if she slid and the car hit right? mabye. But doesn't seem very likely.

I do encourage others to look around for places where it'd be likely. As I said, I don't think it's impossible, but if there is a spot someone can find with an embankment and not rail road tracks or cement barriers, I think I'd see it as more likely than I currently do.

Right, I understand that wichita is in Kansas, not missouri. I honestly don't know if becoming a CI might involve relocating etc. But it's also something that both janina and Toni did, so it's another similarity and worth knowing if janina's move ALSO coincided with a prior arrest. That's a question that is posed in the other thread as well, and a good one.


If you read through janina's full thread from start to finish, I think you might better understand why they are similar. That case deserves some media attention, because it's just crazy how police could come to the conclusion they came to. AND they didn't even let the mother know about a 911 call. -- so yeah, I do still wonder whats on that dashcam

Thus... my increased skepticism with this case, and even moreso with the potential similarity of victims being CIs.

By whom? If by anybody. She doesn't say. It's assumed she pulled over "again" by LE, because she was previous. But that's not what she tells us.

It doesn't necessarily have to be someone else . She may have pulled over with car trouble or for any numerous reasons.
