Circumstances of Recovery The lower torso of a white male was found floating in the Mississippi Sound just off shore from Pascagoula, MS. The remains were wearing dark work pants. In the pocket was a key-fob from Pensacola Florida car lot. On the back of the fob was what appeared to be scratched "Court Van" The remains were classified as obese and were calcified. According to a forensic anthropologist, the remains could have been in the water for as long as 5 years.

From the Police report attached on NamUs:
  • The coroner estimated that the corpse had been in the water nearly a year.
  • The lower half that was recovered was separated from the upper half at the waist
  • The corpse also had no feet.
  • The pants which were on the remains of the corpse had in the pockets an old timer pocket knife, a Ford ignition key, and a key fob from Pensacola Florida.

I believe this could possibly be my father who came up missing in 1985. Last seen on a shrimp boat between Mississippi in New Orleans waters.
