CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) – A Charlotte woman who’s been missing for over a week has still not been found, and her vehicle was located on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, in Anson County, according to CMPD.

Allisha Dene Watts, 39, was last spotted on Sunday, July 16, 2023, leaving her residence on Pamela Lorraine Drive near Old Concord Road.

Police say she was driving her black 2023 Mercedes Benz GLC 300, possibly headed towards Moore County, but that car was found in Anson County without Watts.

Family members are concerned for her safety; anyone with information is asked to call 911 immediately.

"This has been a week of pure torture," said friend Learen Blue. "We just need help to bring her back."

"She's a vital piece of the community afar as she's involved in several organizations in our community," Blue said. "She gives back, she gives up her time. She gives her heart. She gives anything that she knows a person needs, she willingly, freely gives."

A release from Siler City police noted Watts is the CEO of Inspired Visions Support Services, Inc., which provides disability services to persons of all ages in several North Carolina counties.

"As far as touching base with the memberships of the organizations that she's with, she's very accountable," said family friend Dorothy Brower. "There's no way that she would have gone somewhere and not communicated, even while she was gone with some of her close buddies."

Watts is no stranger to Charlotte as she regularly attends church there.

Watts was last seen traveling to Charlotte in her black 2023 Mercedes SUV with her boyfriend James Dunmore. The black SUV and Watts’ cellphone have since been located, officials said.

Authorities are using the GPS from the vehicle and phone to develop a timeline of travel in hopes of finding her.

Watts was involved in several organizations in Moore County, and she has a thriving business that provides mental health care in the community.

“As far as touching base with memberships at the organizations that she’s with, she’s very accountable. There’s no way that she would have gone somewhere and not communicated even while she was gone with some of her close buddies,” Brower said.

Dunmore is being questioned by authorities but has not been charged with any crimes.

“I speak of her in the present and not in the past because this young lady has everything to live for, and we need her,” Brower said.

''MOORE COUNTY, N.C. (WRAL) - The poster says Allicia Watts has been missing since July 16, but her friends say what’s missing most is her smile and outgoing personality.
“In any project she was a part of, she gave it her all,” said Dorothy Brower, a family friend. “She has a tremendously big heart.”

The report is not very detailed.

She was traveling with her boyfriend James Dunmore, and he has been interviewed. Information has not been given about how they were separated and she went missing, or exactly where she was last seen.

noticeably absent from the reporting is where exactly her phone and SUV where located. I'm betting they were in the possession of one James W. Dunmore. Sounds as if he was taken into custody for questioning at least at some point (may still be in custody) and yet Ms. Watts remains MIA. James needs to start talking.

Where is Allicia?

''Shakeeta Utley said her sister, 39-year-old Allisha Watts, was last seen between July 16 and July 17. She said her sister’s phone later pinged at her boyfriend, James Dunmore’s house in Charlotte. Utley said her sister had not been seen since.''

She said her sister’s black Mercedes Benz-GLC was found but not her. Utley said her family reported Watts missing this past Wednesday or Thursday. She said the reason was because the police said they were looking for her sister. Another woman told us that the family went public because Charlotte-Mecklenburg police took too long to give them answers- so they went public.''

''Utley said her sister is a businesswoman. She said she owns a mental health business called ‘Inspired Visions.’

Snipped for focus.
Emphasis mine.

Maybe LE wanted to make sure she didn't leave of her own volition ?
If they have her phone, perhaps she'd texted something like; "I've had it. I'm leaving ,and don't you follow me...".
Or something like that ?
Although if the boyfriend was in possession of her phone and/or vehicle, that is problematic ; imo.
Omo.

I'm curious if LE has any evidence against the boyfriend. If so, his best bet is to talk IMO.
The business aspect is interesting. Has anything more been posted in MSM about the business? Did "Inspired Visions" serve both men and women?
(ETA :( Sorry, I just caught up and see he was in possession of her phone).

BBM: her new boyfriend. That's not encouraging.

There was a thread started yesterday for Ms. Watts, first name spelled differently though. Is there a way to merge these?

Unresponsive how?
As in, drugged, assaulted, intoxicated, unconscious?
Well, Carlee Russell was reported as unreponsive but breathing when she walked into her parent's home.

In that case, it would appear she just wasn't answering questions rather than being unconscious, intoxicated, drugged, or comatose.

No follow-up on how the unresponsive boyfriend of Allisha Watts is doing, after being found July 18.

I have to note that all this was likely overshadowed by the Carlee Russell fake abduction mess that was going on at the same time.
