A reward double than the previous one is now being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of 5-year-old Nevaeh Buchanan's killer.
Justice for Nevaeh received a call from an anonymous donor willing to pitch in $25,000 to help catch her killer, and with that generous tip, the cash reward is now up to $50,000.
Every penny counts when it comes to capturing the person or persons responsible for the death of Nevaeh, who died tragically in June 2009 after she was abducted from her home in Monroe, Mich.
With a reward now totaling $50,000, the Monroe County community is hoping someone will step forward to help solve this case.
"I don't think money is going to solve the case but money serves as a great incentive to somebody who may know something," said Joe Starkey, Justice For Nevaeh campaign president.
Starkey made the announcement on Thursday at Nevaeh's second annual Halloween party in Monroe. He says the group, aimed at catching the killer or killers, received the anonymous donation call two weeks ago.
